Some are hiding from their ethnicity because those they hope will like them are prejudice. Just a fact, people should be proud of who they are.

While I agree that things said on message boards need to be taken with a large grain of salt, the Mainboard has a large number of posters and in trying to discuss college football I had to sit through four years of people starting #ILoveMaga threads and all this Trump adulation. Now those same folks are saying Trump's time has passed and they back BDR (Big Dick Ron). Sometimes it's good to hear opinions from the outside but other times what's said internally is important and I wouldn't expect a Democrat to have a true pulse of what right-wingers are thinking here.

I'm on team whoever can beat Trump. I hope he is not the nominee. I vote each election but there are very few politicians I actually like or support. Tim Scott is one. My family has South Carolina roots so there is that but I appreciate his back story and just his overall disposition and attitude.

She did not say she was wanting to take America in a new direction, she said she was wanting to take the Republican PARTY in a new direction!

Many people change their name for various reasons. Should that be barred because it means they aren't proud of who they are?

I met Haley about a month ago, she was on her book tour here in WPB. At first I thought she was refreshing without the political jabs that are signature MAGA. It was a very liberal audience. Toward the end of her talk she started with the zingers calling Biden a socialist and groomers…. She was visibly shaken by the silence of the crowd.

She paused for the reaction and there was just silence.

We all know what this is about. Democrats and liberals hate any minority that dares to have heterodox views on politics or race. It's at the core of the 'you ain't black' statement but insert any other race in place of black as well. It's amazing how much liberals on this board, and elsewhere, are obsessed by the fact that Haley chooses to go by her given middle name (since that's what her mother called her since birth).

It really is a form of white supremacy in action.

I disagree, when I see that Photo of a white Bobby Jindil I feel very sad for him. He was embarrassed by who he was.

My father came here in the 1940s and didn't change a syllable of his name.

I can't blame kids for wanting to fit in.

But, Piyush and Nimrata are supposedly self confident adults, and their families didn't come here in the 1920s when prejudice and crushing discrimination were openly practiced against immigrants.
