A settlement has already been reached, is my understanding.
What does this accomplish besides cheapening her death? It will not bring her back.
FFS, once again this is seperate from a civil settlement. Absolutely nothing to do with the family, revenge, hate, whatever.
The NM DA did an investigation and apparently decided there was criminal negligence.
If what ExpressLane says is true, that cast and or crew were previously using the gun for target practice, my god, how irresponsible was that? Live ammo should never have had any place on the set.
And since there was live ammo being played with, common sense says
anyone handling that weapon should have had the sense to check, double check and triple check that weapon before using it.
I remember from way back the legal term was something like 'what would be expected of a
reasonable person' in that situation.
And after cast and or crew playing with a deadly weapon as if were a toy I would expect any reasonable person to check, double check and even triple check that weapon.
Anyways, we can agree to disagree.
At least you don't accuse me of being a rayciss or nazi because we disagree on something like the you-know-whos do.
