"Intelligent design" creationism basically finished

grow the fuck up, dude.....we both know how the scientific method works and we both know that what you are talking about is NOT scientific testing of abiogenesis.....

the hypothesis of abiogenesis.....

there are organic chemicals.................something happens..............there is life.....

experimenting with the creation of organic chemicals is not a test of "something happens"......../

I feel like I'm at risk of getting dumber just reading your posts.

There has been no test to date that has demostrated the emergence of cellular structure from prebiotic material.

There is nothing in science that says a failed test doesn't count as science.

There is nothing in science that demands a single solitary test has to explain and settle for all time the nature of a complex scientific question.

There was 50 years of testing before the Higgs boson was confirmed.

No one complained that the Higgs hypothesis wasn't real science.

Current research into the origin of life has demostrated that amino acids, peptides, and precursors to RNA can emerge from prebiotic material.

Those are fruitful avenues of investigation into the origin of life, making it a bonafide scientific research topic.
