CARS Record EV Sales Month Globally! 12% Share For BEVs!

Yep, the EV disruption many of us were dreaming of for years is finally happening, and the proof is that despite all the stuff happening right now — pandemic(s), war, inflation, material shortages, etc., etc. — global plugin vehicle registrations were up 54% in June 2022 compared to June 2021, reaching a record 913,000 units! With China’s production back on track, sales have recovered their previous growth pace, and I wouldn’t be surprised if September turns out to be the first month the world reaches one million plugin vehicle registrations! With China (surely), Europe (likely), and the USA (maybe?) posting record months in September, expect the end of Q3 to be another time of celebration.

With a record month in June, plugins represented 16% share of the overall auto market, with BEVs themselves reaching 12% BEV share! This is the first time BEVs reached two digits globally. Considering the steep drops in the overall market, and that plugless hybrids (HEVs) were down for the third month in a row, that should be considered an amazing result. Peak HEVs is upon us in 2022, with 2023 being the start of downhill sales for this kind of powertrain.

In June, BEVs (+65% YoY) grew faster than PHEVs (+29%), with the latter powertrain suffering from sales drops in Europe. Still, both technologies reached record months and, year to date.

Sorry to trigger you:

Now, that's a strawman argument! Way to change the subject. But, to demolish your argument, that rise in sales is due to government intervention in the market. We've been over that, and you have tried to ignore that point because it demolishes your argument entirely.

"that rise in sales is due to government intervention in the market" - That's your opinion and you've got ZERO evidence to back it up. Kinda like Trump's Big Lie.

You're pretty good at making shit up and claiming that it's fact. Kinda like Trump's Big Lie. You still think Trump won the 2020 election. I rest my case. You have zero credibility.

Once again, I rest my case for your lack of 'Standing'. Maybe you should change your name to Kari Lake.

Wow, you really are struggling with reading comprehension, son.

I was making the point that, just like all consumers, corporations see the advantage of EVs with their low maintenance, low energy costs and reliability and that's why they are buying them. That's why every year, more and more EVs are being sold. Each year breaks the previous year's sales record.
Why does that trigger you so badly?

Delusion.
Less than 1% of the cars on the road are EVs.

So it’s like an iPhone. I understand, they retain some rights.

You still own it, but they have some power to manage it. They don’t get to take it for a spin every Wednesday.

It will be an interesting new body of law shifting to accommodate these issues. I wonder if you sign an agreement when you buy it new acknowledging this when you buy a new one.

So you WANT someone else telling you when you can charge your car, when you can drive it, where you can drive it, etc.

The global oil market remains tight according to Saudi Aramco, the largest oil producer in the world. And that does not bode well for a world that still relies heavily on fossil fuels.

“Today there is spare capacity that is extremely low,” Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser said at a recent conference in London. “If China opens up, [the] economy starts improving or the aviation industry starts asking for more jet fuel, you will erode this spare capacity.”
Nasser warns that oil prices could quickly spike — again.
“When you erode that spare capacity the world should be worried. There will be no space for any hiccup — any interruption, any unforeseen events anywhere around the world.”

I love my Tesla!

No. Thanks to Biden.

Every electric vehicle sold is a win against climate change. And under President Biden’s leadership, electric vehicle sales in the United States have tripled.

I just bought 200 more shares of Te$la this morning.

No gas or vapor is capable of warming the Earth, dude. You cannot create energy out of nothing. You are ignoring the 1st law of thermodynamics again.
Less than 1% of the cars on the road are EVs.
Biden did nothing.

How much of the current Tesla stock collapse is due to people figuring out that EV's dont work very well in the cold?

Meh.

I got zero government rebate when I bought my Tesla Model Y DMLR. Zero federal or state rebate.
Lie.
There's a reason people are buying up EV cars like crazy.
They aren't.
And it's not because governments are forcing them to. It's because they have better reliability, better performance, they're easier to maintain, cheaper to run and can be charged in your garage.
I will call this argument one.
I'm guessing you hate EVs because you can't afford one. I feel sorry for you.
I will call this argument two.

Paradox. Which is it, dude????!?

You're making shit up. You don't own a Tesla.

Less than 1% of the cars on the road are EV's, and THAT includes Teslas.

"that rise in sales is due to government intervention in the market" - That's your opinion and you've got ZERO evidence to back it up. Kinda like Trump's Big Lie.
He is correct, and no, you cannot make the evidence of election fraud by Democrats go away by using a slogan. Argument of the Stone fallacies.
You're pretty good at making shit up and claiming that it's fact.
You are describing yourself again. Inversion fallacy.
Kinda like Trump's Big Lie.
No such thing. You are making shit up and claiming that it's fact.
You still think Trump won the 2020 election.
There was no election in 2020. The election faulted due to election fraud by Democrats. Argument of the Stone fallacy.
I rest my case. You have zero credibility.
You don't get to declare credibility. Cliche fallacy.
