The prosecutor stated they could not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Colbert's staff knew they were supposed to have an escort.

I guess, the fact that Colbert's crew didn't attack any officers, didn't smear feces on the wall, and didn't shout "hang Mike Pence." doesn't register with you.

He did not lead anybody into the Capitol. You cannot charge somebody for pure speech. Since the crowd did not act on his speech he did not "incite" anything. Pure deflection from those criminals who attacked our nation's Capitol.
