Classrooms have but one door. That's okay with the Fire Marshall.
I suppose you think the Fire Marshall wants someone going around shooting up schools and schools having no way to contain it?

There are really practical steps that schools can take:
* eliminate 'gun free' zones. They clearly don't work.
* allow staff to carry a gun if they want to.
* require at least one staff member to be always armed, and his only duty in such a situation is to eliminate the threat as soon as possible.
* metal drop slats that can be triggered from a control in the office.
* security cameras, both in hallways and observing school property.
* police departments responsive to the situation (Uvalde police were not, despite being only seconds away).
* solid doors on each classroom, that can be locked by the instructor from the inside.
* better first aid training, including the use treatment of chest wounds (and having the equipment in each classroom!).
* elimination of criminal 'catch and release' programs.
* hold anyone sponsoring or encouraging such shootings responsible. Yes, this means you, Democrats!

The media made a circus out of Uvalde. Democrats have no problem using dead kids as pawns to further their agenda.
The NRA was addressing the media circus that occurred, and the cavalier attitude that the media has.

The purpose of the NRA is to encourage the safe use of firearms, and to defend the inherent right of self defense, along with the 2nd amendment. They encourage training in safely handling firearms. There are millions of firearms in this country. They are not out breaking the law, robbing convenience stores, or shooting up a school.
How is that evil?

Now you blame the NRA for what the media did, for what the police failed to do, and for the criminal act of mass murder by a warped and evil individual, quite possibly with encouragement from Democrats.
Those acts are evil. You are attempting to blame the NRA for something it had NO ROLE in, and indeed discourages and condemns such acts of mass murder.

That's called bigotry, dude. You are extending what one individual did across an entire class of gun owners.
