If he had political opponents poisoned, tried to rig the judicial system against them, or invaded Scotland to depose Little Ms Whatsername, then yes I would.

As he has done none of those things - which are unthinkable here - then no I won't.

Putin has developed a regime where they are not only thinkable, he actually does them with impunity. In a way it's not surprising - those things and worse have been common practice for most of Russian history. That's no reason to applaud them when they raise their gruesome heads yet again.
