No one knows why we invaded and occupied Afghanistan.

But we are supposed to be in a crisis because Biden ended it. Don't buy it.

The people trashing Biden cannot tell us why the war existed in the first place.

We do know why. It's to blame the Al-Qaeda for 9/11 and it was an opportunity to make yuge profits. That was all there was to it.

You're really wondering why people see the cluster fvck that has been our attempted exit from Afghanistan and have questions aimed at the C.I.C. who ordered it? Most people in this country want us out of Afghanistan but that doesn't mean they give zero sh*ts about how it was done.

Yeah basically we finally got out of there after 20 years and people are so angry. I know why.

I can appreciate your comments. But people that are commenting haven't kept up with the timeline very well, and often times don't have a fucking clue about what is actually going on or what they are talking about.

Yes, there are mixed editorials. But they seem mostly to be bashing Biden and saying his presidency has ended. Ridiculous.

Well, since I don't pay for the NYT or WP internet subscriptions, I have been following their writers that are guest hosts on the evening newscast/political opinion programs. I am a huge fan of those Media outlets and their investigative reporters.

And they seem to be very balanced and fair about their comments.

Let's just put this on the table. We've been in Afghanistan for 20 years and there has been plenty of bi-partisan failure throughout the past two decades. So people need to stop with this idea that 'their side' has no blame here.

And I do not understand the position of people who say all that matters is we leave and how we do so is basically irrelevant. History is replete with actions taken for short-term gains that had long-term negative consequences. Again, this isn't saying we needed to stay in Afghanistan forever. Rather how we leave is important.

We'll see how this plays out going forward.

What is the problem with the withdrawal?
