UFO's.....old hat, new interests.

That's just the thing, CY....after a point, cognitive reasoning, critical thinking and scientific process goes right out the window. The "official" reports just ignore what they don't like or make summations that include this bias. As to your last paragraph....the countries you just mention all have sought or have acquired nuclear weapons and use nuke power plants....knowing damn well you don't dare use the former and you can't bury the latter for long....much less know how to fully close it down passed it's warrantee. So yeah, mindsets like that would have NO problem joining the party line....until it's up to their necks, like Belgium. And even THEN they hedge their bets in concluding non-terrestrial origin of the crafts, much less who is piloting them.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree. I simply need to see more tangible evidence of intergalatic spaceships visiting our planet, and I am unconvinced a massive international conspiracy by the world's governments to cover up the truth about these extraterrestrials could realistically be maintained for 70 years.

Let's be clear on what the Pentagon actually said.
They did not claim that UFOs are intergalactic spaceships piloted by alien beings.

They propose to examine reports that unidentified aircraft are potentially penetrating US airspace.

Let's be double clear. The Navy released the videos showing navy pilots locking on to UFOs. That is far different than official behavior in the past.
Who said alien beings? They are UFOs. Unidentified. They wonder if it is another country that has that technology. If Russia has it, It is as traumatic as if they are aliens.

I agree.
There is no evidence, or reason to leap to the conclusion these incidents involve intergalactic spaceships. And I have said that consistently throughout the thread.

If we find evidence of alien life, it is going to happen in our solar system, or by remote sensing of exoplanets.

I seriously doubt it will happen by encountering alien spaceships on our planet.

We have a lot to learn about physics. But invoking some fundamental underlying physics which has utterly escaped our notice, which allows space aliens to circumvent the laws of special relativity to routinely visit our star system, is not really a strong case for alien spaceships in our atmosphere. Just my two cents.

It's sort of the same with the Lochness Monster and Big Foot sightings and photos.

The photos have all been proven to be faked. And anyone can claim they saw something.

Reminds me of this bullshit..............

How many ways can I say it is not about intergalactic spaceships before you can fathom it.
There are plenty of military people who say they are spaceships. I make no judgment. I am fascinated by the possibilities.
Our physics is a changing science. If we were thousands of years in the future who knows what they could do and know? My problem is I cannot see how a society can survive the nuclear age. We will not.

That you keep repeating that last mantra about 70 years just doesn't make sense. As I pointed out to someone else, it took 40 years for McNamara to finally document what hundreds of folk around the world knew via reasearch....that the Gulf of Tonkin incident did NOT happen, and therefore our presence in Vietnam was based on a LIE.

So what's 30 more years?

No it's not....unless you have members of the Royal Navy coming out and testifying that they had visual and/or sonar contact with some huge animal in Loch Ness.

You are so fucking stupid. Do you REALLY need me to explain this to you? Do you understand that the Govt admitting UFO's exist means almost nothing ? All they did was admit that there have been sightings of as of yet UNIDENTIFIED flying objects. That doesnt mean shit. Wake me up when they come right out and admit the existence of aliens from another world traveling to Earth. Dummy.

Possibly the most idiotic "reason" I've seen here regarding conclusions based on fact. Your last word describes the guy you see in the mirror.

Agreed. A few JPP members don't seem to understand the meaning of "unidentified" in this situation.

The admission "Not a fucking clue" says something by itself. :)

"The only thing that we know is that we know nothing, and that is the highest flight of human wisdom." -- Leo Tolstoy

Better to admit ignorance than to look foolish in hindsight.

I think it would be awesome if we encountered alien spaceships on our planet.

That would be the most monumental discovery in human history.

But at this point, I am just not seeing the evidence and data to leap to the conclusion alien spaceships are being piloted around in our atmosphere.

So for 70 years plus UFO's that exceed any improvement in our own air craft and space program by centuries have been sighted, reported and document by civilian and military folk....but the best you can do is hold onto some old Project Bluebook conclusions. I mean, how does this sound to you? "I don't know what it is, I can't explain it or have a clue as to how to explain it, and what explanations that I do consider just are not feasible, but I REFUSE TO ACCEPT as to what YOU say the conclusions are".

Seriously?

So you're comparing military and governmental verification of UFO's to tabloid fodder? A bit of a stretch to debunk something, wouldn't you say?

So you are trying to sell me that there is Military and Government VERIFICATION of UFO's!! I could have told you that!

A UFO is simply an UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECT. The Military and the government is not saying that they've "identified" any FLYING OBJECTS, as by trying to imply they have IDENTIFIED the FO's as being from some Alien source, as what you are implying here- BUT YES THERE ARE SIGHTINGS OF UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECTS- JUST AS PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SAYING THEY HAVE WITNESSED THEM SINCE THE PYRAMIDS WERE BUILT. DUH!

SO NOTHING NEW HERE! NOTHING IDENTIFIED HERE.

LET US KNOW WHEN THE GOVERNMENT OR MILITARY VERIFIES AN "IDENTIFIED" FLYING OBJECT- IDENTIFIED AS BEING AN "ALIEN SPACECRAFT" not of this world!

Now that would naturally be a Scientific breakthrough and some useful information.

Jesus Christ- Did you really need the Military or Government to tell you- "SAY, THERE ARE ACTUAL UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECTS?

In this case, the Military may as well as just admitted- "We know Unidentified BIRDS do exist, because we witnessed a couple of them flying over the airport!

SO WHAT?

Pay attention to what they are actually saying- AND IT IS NOT ANYTHING WE DIDN'T ALREADY KNOW!

Hilarious!

It may be a mystery as to what the Royal Navy witnessed- But unless they can identify what it was- This is not really anything to write home to mother about!

THIS IS WHY THEY ARE CALLED UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECTS!

DO THEY EXIST- SURE- LOTS OF UNIDENTIFIED THINGS HAS BEEN WITNESSED BEFORE FLYING ABOUT!

WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL HERE BRO?

I would be the first in line to be riveted and intrigued if we found alien spaceships on earth.

My personal interest in evidence of alien life is focused on our probes to other planets and moons in our solar system, and remote sensing of the atmospheric chemistry and electromagnetic signatures of exoplanets --- which in my judgment have a much better chance of answering the question as to whether we are all alone out here.
