Based on the the rate of compliance [90% in most places] vs apparent results, and based on a scale of 1-10, how would you judge the efficacy of public mask mandates in mitigating transmission?

With 1 being worthless. Five being ‘maybe helps, a bit’ and ten being Masks are magic.

Your 90% figure is total bullshit. it is much closer to 60% 95% usage would save about 25,000 lives between now and April 1st. So why don't you ask yourself the same question. On a scale of 1-10, how valuable is a something that will save 25,000 lives? Go ahead, dazzle us with your brilliance.

Your problem is with the Carnegie Mellon study in the OP. Your second problem is with the COVID numbers which climbed unabated even when their study showed a very high rate of mask compliance.

Think that about covers it.
