There are a lot of people who live on social security alone, and that's because they made poor financial decisions. They didn't make those poor decisions because social security existed and they thought it would be plenty for them to live on. They made those poor decisions because they're retarded and couldn't use a calculator.

The most retarded thing about this argument is that STY comes on telling us how his grandmother is barely able to get by because social security only gives her x number of dollars every month instead of seeing that social security is what's keeping her ALIVE. And instead of asking how we can insure this SAFETY NET (it's not a retirement plan, idiot) is there for future generations, his reaction is to GET RID OF THE SAFETY NET. That's the most retarded thing anyone's said on this board since Dano suggested we put endangered species in cages so we can protect them better.

It's not my fault your grandparents can't do math. It's certainly not an argument for getting rid of social security. If anything, that anecdote is proof that we need to increase social security disbursements.

In stead of wining about it, I'm doing something about it by retraining in a more lucrative career. STY's grandmother spent her life counting beans on an assembly line and now he's using her as an example of why social security should be left up to individuals alone and the safety net it provides is unnecessary.

The simple fact is this: without the social security safety net your grandmother would either be living with you or be dead. Social security is something you SHOULD be thankful for, but you're too retarded.

Unless you plan on revamping Air Americas radio show and providing some sort of entertainment aspect to it, you'll be nothing but a washed up opinion writer for your hometown newspaper.

any kind of engineering is good pay these days, I have to give it to him to have the balls to switch this late in the game.
