Is there a medical professional anywhere who says masks and distancing isn’t helpful,

The vast majority of doctors and scientists say masks work. There have been countless studies and lab experiments verifying it . They work. There are always outliers who deny science an think that shows they are smarter. It shows the opposite. European scientists do not face the anti science people we do. They know masks work and the people's respect for them and their following the mask requirements had dropped their corona levels far below ours. America is so proud of its stupidity. We seem to honor it.

Saying "masks work" fifty times does not suddenly make them work. See my 'everything debunked' and my 'cult of the mask' signature links for why masks do not work.

Hello Nordberg,

It's partisanship bias.

Yes, studies can be found that indicate masks are ineffective at protecting the wearer from the airborne virus. But here is the tricky part. Those studies all talk about protecting the wearer. They don't get into the effectiveness of preventing the spread by people who have no symptoms and do not know they are contagious. They don't estimate the effectiveness of social mask policy. They focus on the protection to the wearer.

And remember what Dr Anthony Fauci said. Wearing masks is not about protecting yourself. It is about protecting others.

We are all dependent on one another in this war to protect each other.

And since we are so divided and NOT united on this concept, that is why we are doing so badly at it.

We just fail to grasp the basics of it as a society.

There is too much propaganda and hatred for such widespread understanding to take place.

Masks and respirators do not work.

There have been extensive randomized controlled trial (RCT) studies, and meta-analysis reviews of RCT studies, which all show that masks and respirators do not work to prevent respiratory influenza-like illnesses, or respiratory illnesses believed to be transmitted by droplets and aerosol particles.

Furthermore, the relevant known physics and biology, which I review, are such that masks and respirators should not work. It would be a paradox if masks and respirators worked, given what we know about viral respiratory diseases: The main transmission path is long-residence-time aerosol particles (< 2.5 μm), which are too fine to be blocked, and the minimum-infective dose is smaller than one aerosol particle.

The present paper about masks illustrates the degree to which governments, the mainstream media, and institutional propagandists can decide to operate in a science vacuum, or select only incomplete science that serves their interests. Such recklessness is also certainly the case with the current global lockdown of over 1 billion people, an unprecedented experiment in medical and political history.

It doesn’t matter lol.

Not sure what caused masks to miraculously start working against viruses but published medical studies pre hysteria concluded otherwise.

Jacobs, J. L. et al. (2009) "Use of surgical face masks to reduce the incidence of the common cold among health care workers in Japan: A randomized controlled trial", American Journal of Infection Control, Volume 37, Issue 5, 417 - 419.
N95-masked health-care workers (HCW) were significantly more likely to experience headaches. Face mask use in HCW was not demonstrated to provide benefit in terms of cold symptoms or getting colds.
Cowling, B. et al. (2010) "Face masks to prevent transmission of influenza virus: A systematic review", Epidemiology and Infection, 138(4), 449-456. doi:10.1017/S0950268809991658
None of the studies reviewed showed a benefit from wearing a mask, in either HCW or community members in households (H). See summary Tables 1 and 2 therein.
bin-Reza et al. (2012) "The use of masks and respirators to prevent transmission of influenza: a systematic review of the scientific evidence", Influenza and Other Respiratory Viruses 6(4), 257-267.
"There were 17 eligible studies. [...] None of the studies established a conclusive relationship between mask ⁄ respirator use and protection against influenza infection."

"We identified 6 clinical studies ... In the meta-analysis of the clinical studies, we found no significant difference between N95 respirators and surgical masks in associated risk of (a) laboratory-confirmed respiratory infection, (b) influenza-like illness, or (c) reported work-place absenteeism."

Distancing works. Don't go to the grocery store.

Boom.

Fine by me... but what doesn't make sense to me is staying away from HEALTHY people and treating EVERYONE as if they have "the lurgy"... That's just fear mongering and bigotry.

How do you know who is 'sick' and who isn't?

Hello Jack,

How do you know who is 'sick' and who isn't?

That's why we have to have a social mask-wearing policy. We don't have enough tests to do everybody. And the results take too long. Now, if the test could be something simple and instant such as point a device like an infrared thermometer at everyone who enters every building, and instantly be able to read if they are positive / asymptomatic, then we could easily keep the positives out of social gatherings and masks would not be needed.

But we don't have that, so they are.

Are you as sure that masks do not work as you are sure that viral pneumonia does not exist?

yet in front of a national TV audience last night hundreds of Trump lemmings sat shoulder to shoulder few wearing masks for hours, you would think they would have learned something from Ben Carson, how’s that for sending mixed messages. And that was on top of telling Americans that there existed vaccines and treatments to cure COVID

Tell us again how Trump hasn’t f*cked up his response to the pandemic

This bug rarely transmits outdoors...the science is clear.....they will be fine.

What do you mean, don't go to the grocery store?

Yes. Go to BitChute and see all of the front-line doctors' testimonies that have been scrubbed from YouTube and dropped down the "memory hole"...

So? Masks do not stop/prevent the spread of viruses. Six feet does not stop nor prevent the spread of a virus either.

???

Lie.

There ARE treatments... Bedrest, sunlight, vitamin D & zinc, hydroxychloroquine (which has also been scrubbed from YouTube), and various others...

Mantra 38b. It is on YOU to tell us how he supposedly fucked up his response.

Another one, they find some contraian individual who offers "alternate facts" and they run with as if it outbalances the predominance of evidence showing the opposite, no thanks, as I said, using the Internet it is easy to create a false paradigm on anything, I'll stick with the medical professions, many who even work for Trump and strongly recommend masks and distancing

Point being Trump is the leader of the country and he purposely is sending an opposing message, and what makes it a shame, he is doing if for his own political gain
