So, let's see, our resident Coronavirus genius has decided that:
a) It's a novel virus so we don't know much about it yet and
b) He knows EVERYTHING about it.
LOL. If kids are so resistant to the virus, then why are 1 in 3 kids in the Miami area testing positive for it. I am all in favor of opening schools, but it has to be done in a careful and measured manner. The statistic about kids getting infected should be incredibly alarming if those kids are asymptomatic and head into the classroom, it's a recipe for disaster. IMHO, schools can't reopen successfully unless rapid testing is in place, and of course the Trump administration has no interest in that because, you know, it will create more cases and the idiot in the White House can't have that.
Parents are nervous, and rightfully so. If it can't be demonstrated that this is a safe approach, they won't send their kids. And when the white house press secretary says that science won't stand in the way of opening schools, there are going to be LOTS of nervous parents. No one trusts this Administration, and it is having a devastating impact on both the economy and on the fight against the virus.
