Florida has record high deaths from Covid-19

I'll just leave this here.

The Repub convention in Jacksonville is high on trump lists of things he wants to do. He can imagine all they cheering when he wins the nomination, He hates to pass up that ego-building moment. Balloons, music and cheering. Trump does not want to pass that up. Risking lives for that, no problem. Desantis is using up his allotment of Trump brand kneepads. He is a spineless sissy who sees a big job if Trump steals the presidency again. He will not stand up to trump at all, ever.

Like your herd immunity thing, without even knowing what % of the population needs to contract the virus, or how long immunity even lasts?

Just needs to last long enough to starve the virus out of existence and/or relevance.

There’s a reason they don’t give Polio shots any more.

It's looking more and more like herd immunity will not be possible. It appears that in many people, antibody levels (and thus protection) wane after a short period of time.

That being said, it could be likely that even if you do get it again, the subsequent infection would be mild.

That would work, if it turned out like that.

We still have a ton to learn. We shouldn't be basing a whole national strategy on some hope of herd immunity with our current (poor) level of understanding.

Tom Hanks who had COVID in March, says he has less antibodies in his recent test than he had in his first test. That’s not comforting.

I saw Tom Hanks interviewed and he said his antibody level is down. He says he is taking the same precautions as others. He doesn’t want to get it, again.

Mr. Owl was just telling me that he thinks this is going to last at least a couple more years.
