Closing shit has a funneling effect.

Close the beaches—and people are going to congregate and over crowd someplace else. It happened in stores back in April and May. I was talking to the manager at the local Lowes and they were breaking records right and left. Twenty K/hour at the registers some days. It was like fricking Christmas.

For some odd reason there was no spike from it.

You just can’t treat people like a herd of animals. It’s not going to work.

No it isn't, bad policy has placed New York in first place for death rate. Other high population centers did much better.

It's a deadly pandemic that has ravaged the world, nobody has escaped it. But all you and your ilk are interested in is blaming your political opponents, and politicizing the whole affair. You pretend to be concerned about spikes and deaths in Florida and Texas, but you aren't fooling anyone, you can barely contain your glee. That's some evil shit.

How about getting people to take simple precautions, like wearing a mask, distancing & washing their hands?
