The WB would likely be subject to physical attack or murder if exposed. The WB identity must be kept secret. Besides. The WB testimony is not needed and will not exonerate Mr. Trump. There are already plenty of witnesses to establish the fact that Trump abused his power and obstructed Congressional oversight.

Here is a really good rule of thumb for understanding Trump's hoax accusations: If Trump calls something a hoax, odds are it is real.

BS, there are no limitations. Trump could even be impeached again for exactly the same misconduct. This is not a criminal trial. He faces no sentence. It's a job performance review. There is no double jeopardy in impeachment. This could all come right back up again if he wins in 2020 and we get a new Congress with more teeth. sometimes it takes a few tries to get something through Congress, you know.

I think lots of people were taken aback that I so vehemently opposed impeachment. Mostly I opposed because I thought it had almost no chance of success (I still think the Senate will acquit) and because it might come at too great a political cost to the people I wanted in office.

I still think that. It might cost the people I favor dearly at polling booths next November.

But that shows spine on the part of those people...the willingness to put political considerations behind their duty to their oaths.

Too bad the spineless Republican senators are unwilling to do the same.

Trump is an abomination...an insult to the office, to the Republic, and to the institutions that have served this Republic for 250+ years. And he is guilty of the offenses for which he will be impeached today.
