Quit eating meat!

They were her first, so MAN is the alien
Nobody is an alien, we are all products of the same environment. That man is successful because of a huge brain doesn't change that we are animals from Earth just the same as any other. There is nothing more inherently evil in eating an animal as a human than there is eating an insect if you are a wasp.

Laugh all you want, meat is murder, some day you will understand

Disagree, strongly. On the other hand you will be happy to note I don't eat meat very often, for health reasons.

There is nothing better than smoke salmon, grilled halibut, or mmmm, a filet with horseradish topping. MMMMM

DNC,its impossible to conveince the fools.we,the PETA,the only people on this world who care about animals will forever prosper.and soon enough, the entire human race will quit the consumption of meat in due time.

With attitudes and opinions like this, I'm surprised there isn't a higher rate of suicides among animal rights activists. I mean, wouldn't the end of their lives be of benefit to the animals who were here before man?

Then of course there is the inverse...

Why not a higher rate of serial killers among animal rights activists? By taking part in mass killings would they not be helping the animals they so cherish?

Do these things not occur because humans are, at their base, animals themselves? Thus making it impossible for animal rights activists to kill themselves or others? And if humans are essentially animals, would we not then be, do to our intelligence, at the top of the food chain? If we are indeed animals and at the top of the food chain, is it not then justifiable that we eat what we choose? I mean, I don't see the animal rights groups out protesting when a lion kills and eats a gazelle. In their environment, lions are at the top of the food chain, they eat what they choose, they kill for their meat, they manipulate their environs to get the meat.

Or maybe we should force lions to go vegan...

True that. I've not killed a human being in well, forever. On the other hand, I gladly eat meat from those that do in cows, pigs, chickens, and fish. ;)

How many animals voted for Bush?

What the hell does this have to do with the discussion?

This would hold a lot more weight if the leaders of PETA practiced what they preached rather than reaping the medical benefits of animal testing.

Hypocrites.

It just seems time for 3 in 1:

Turducken
Recipe courtesy Paula Deen
Show: Food Network Specials
Episode: Paula's Southern Thanksgiving
Turducken
Brine:
1 cup kosher salt
1 cup brown sugar
1 gallon water

18 to 21-pound turkey, skin intact and boned except for drumsticks
House seasoning, recipe follows
Cornbread Dressing, recipe follows
3 to 4-pound duck, boned
3 to 4-pound chicken, boned
Paprika

To make the brine: Mix salt and sugar with the water. Brine is ready when the mixture is completely dissolved. If the water is heated to quicken the process, make sure it is cooled to room temperature before placing meat in. Let the 3 birds sit in brine in the refrigerator overnight.

Preheat roaster to 500 degrees F.

Lay turkey skin side down on a flat surface. Dust turkey with House Seasoning and add 1/4-inch layer of cornbread dressing. Lay duck skin side down on top of dressing. Dust duck with House Seasoning and add 1/4-inch layer of dressing. Repeat with the chicken.

Begin trussing up the turkey at the neck. Insert metal skewer about 1/2-inch from the edge and up through the other side. Run butcher's twine between skin and skewer and tighten to draw both sides together. Continue down to legs. With every other skewer, draw together the duck and chicken skin. Tie together turkey legs to resemble standard turkey. Dust turkey skin with paprika.

Roast turducken for 15 minutes. Then turn the roaster down to 225 degrees F to finish, approximately 3 hours. Remove turducken from roaster once the internal temperature in the chicken reaches 155 degrees F. Let rest for at least 20 minutes before carving.

Cut across the middle of the breast completely through. Plate thin slices containing turkey, duck and chicken.

Cook's Notes: If using a smoker to cook, smoke at 225 degrees F for 5 hours, rotating every 20 to 30 minutes until internal temperature reaches 155 degrees F and external temperature reaches 165 degrees F. Try to keep the flare-ups from the fire to a minimum.

Only MAN tortures pollutes and KILLS with GUNS. Man is no match for animals without GUNS

Our weapon is our intellect and our ability to organize and pass information on from one generation to the next. The guns we use (and bows) are extensions of our intellect. Just as is the chimpanzee's use of a stick to get termites from the mound.

But you still did not answer my question. What about cockroaches, termites, rats, lice, and other vermin? Do we let them live as well?

Kathianne, you cruel wench!! I love tuducken and haven't had it in too long.

Mmmm, makes my mouth water thinking about it. There was a little place in Eunice Louisianna that served the best I have ever had.

I know, cruel. On at least 2 fronts. :clink:

really humans aren't even meant to eat meat, primapes, who we share a common ancestor with, never eat meat,so why should we?

Only MAN tortures pollutes and KILLS with GUNS. Man is no match for animals without GUNS

Really? Wow. Then could you kindly explain just how it is Man just happened to survive all those centuries before the introduction of spears, bows and arrows, knives, and firearms?
