If by ‘dominant’ you means the ability to propagate, rabbits are way ahead of man lol. Bacteria leave everyone behind.

But it terms of domination, it’s becomes another story. Or the ability to manipulate the environment; go to the moon; create music or art; invent algebra and on and on and on and on....

It’s basically a fact that man is unique amongst the other animals.

No, it really isn't. Whales have songs. Dolphins have names for each other. All nurture their young. Some mammals are tool users.

We've been on the planet for a geological second.
 
I'd go so far as to say that dolphins probably wouldn't vote for Trump.

So, maybe they're not smarter than every person - but a lot of people.

Insects are the most ubiquitous live form. But my beagle thinks people are inferior. Her attitude is I am a bipedal, no nose. Only 2 legs and cannot follow a scent. If I couldn't operate a can opener, I would have no reason to exist. It is all viewpoint. People are the most destructive life form. Evolved to the point of destroying the planet.

Sorry, TD - and I don't mean this in an uncivil way. But it's hard for me to take ridicule seriously from a guy who keeps asking "why didn't all apes just choose to evolve"?

I don't think science explains the big bang theory at all....just because we see the universe as expanding isn't enough....and there are different theory's even about that phenomena....
are we seeing what we think we're seeing or is that in itself just an illusion because of our limited perspective.

That lack of explanation is most likely due to the fact that it isn't not described in words; it is described via mathematics that the vast majority of us do not "speak." Have you ever seen one of those stereotype math professor memes with the guy standing in front of a huge blackboard that is entirely covered in mathematical formulae? Basically, that is the description of what happened at the instance of singularity that was the Big Bang, only you'd need several more chalkboards to cover it. What you and I read as what happened at the moment has been put into baby talk. And even then it is difficult for me, at least, to wrap my brain around it.

As far as our purposes go, the Big Bang was the moment of creation -- for this universe. We don't know where it is going, or where it was before the BB.

Well, we like to believe this, anyways. It's pretty similar to Europeans coming to the western hemisphere and declaring that they were superior to the indigenous humans, or ancient Romans conquering territories in the British Isles and declaring themselves superior.

Sadly for the history of the planet as a whole, our innate belief that we're the top dogs has led to the wanton destruction of the environment and untold species.
