I've been generally agnostic about the Steele dossier and the significance of Trump's Russian connections, but reading the article made me think.
Trump defenders should read it.
It’s basically a puff-piece on Steele along with the wearisome and seemingly obligatory ‘according to people familiar with the matter’ leading into several paragraphs. That sort of ‘reporting’ has haunted the Russian collusion thing from the get-go.

If the FISA process was abused -and it looks like the Steele dossier was used either as a primary assertion or a supporting document; and the dossier was not verified ( parts true or not are not verified) then it's a process crime according to the FBI's proceedures.
And we are talking about not just surveilling Americans, but also any Americans who words are incidentally intercepted.
From your perch -don't you think this needs to be investigated, given the stakes are the 4th Amendment here?
