FISA warrant of Carter Page should scare all Americans and spur reform

Steele’s credibility is no better than his *Russian* contacts.

And judging by the Dossier they weren’t so hot.

About 70% or a little more of the Dossier has been confirmed so far by independent sources... and that's pretty strong credibility in the intelligence business.

Don't get confused.. Its NOT the FBI or Steele that are a threat to America.

In this case Dems don't believe in true justice. They're eager to see Carter Page and Donald Trump sharing a jail cell for a nothing burger, but they want Obama to remain free even though he illegally wiretapped Trump.

Obama didn't wiretap Trump at all.. Trump is paranoid.. They wiretapped the Russian embassy which is SOP.

All your wishing doesn't make it true. So sad for you.

You didn't answer the question. When did the FBI actually hire him in the first place? If you don't know, just say so.

I was using ‘fired’ in a colloquial sense.

That’s a sidebar anyway. What matters is Schiff and the democrats have been running away from Steele’s Russian Dossier. The Dossier was a big deal at one point but now Schiff and the rest are trying minimize it and say the Russian investigation began with Papadopoulos [the two drunks in a bar].

Democrats just can’t keep their Russian story straight, in large part, because they relied so much on Steele. His credibility, today, is in the tank. Regardless of what he did in the past.

Anymore questions?

who had been "turned"? the FBI??

YES. Steele believed, rightly or not, that the Republican candidate for President had been "nobbled" by the Russians. The FBI appeared to be doing nothing about it; then the director of the FBI apparently sabotaged the Clinton campaign ten days before the election. What would you think?

To repeat: Steele was paid nothing by the FBI and nothing by the press (which published none of his allegations at the time).

You're flailing in the dark, anatta. Read the whole article.

Steele had already been paid for the dossier -right? so this greedy ex-British agent thinks he'll just do what he wants to and contact the press? The guy is a regular James Bond (not) .
He's a hateful hack that put his own dossier at risk, and any verified info the FBI could use as well.

There are four streams of intel verifying the dossier.. Dutch intelligence, the Shearer memo, the Steele Dossier, the long trail of Russian money laundering based out of Trump Tower in NYC and now the Russian sex workers with their tapes and videos..

An, it gets weirder when you look into Manafort, Flynn, Gates, Carter Page, Papadopolus and Kushner.

Steele used the same "collectors" for this as he had been using for years in his business intelligence operation. By all accounts the results had been accurate and first rate in the past. The difference this time is that some people don't want to hear about it.

To repeat: NONE of it has been "debunked", whatever Trump's little helpers say.

It’s just one article from a liberal writer.

Steele was at least paid by DNC/Clinton—-and paid rather well, to collude/collaborate [what’s the difference] with Russians for his Dossier. Which began as an opposition instrument before someone came up with the idea to use it against Trump. My money is on Strzok or McCabe.

The FISA court wasn’t made aware of that little detail. They should have known the specific identities of the parties who paid Steele for it and they should have known how much Steele stood to make from it.

That’s what’s wrong with this whole affair: our problem isn’t social media memes from Russia, it’s corruption in our own government.

When the government starts to abuse the 4th amendment for the sake of rank partisanship we have a bigger problem than Russian troll factories.

Because in order to debunk something it first has to be verifiable.

Comey said the Dossier was ‘unverified’. Schiff is acting like it’s unverified otherwise he wouldn’t get so defensive when Nunes/Grassley claim it was critical in getting the FISA warrant.

Which way is it?

That's a grossly slanted series of claims straight out of the Trump partisans' playbook. If you want a more accurate picture read the article - then you'll be in a position to discuss it. But you won't, because you know "it’s just one article from a liberal writer".

Added: On a minor point, the article has an informed suggestion as to who leaked the dossier to Buzzfeed in January 2017 (it wasn't Steele). The suggestion is that it was an aide to a distinguished senator who definitely isn't a liberal.

The dossier should not be a liberal/conservative issue. If there's any truth in it, we're all in trouble. It's no exaggeration to say that the American political system is in trouble.

Facts are in the Trump playbook lol?

I knew I voted for him for a reason. You deny that DNC/Clinton funded the Russian Dossier and it started out as an opposition hit piece?

Actually, there’s no good reason to elevate it from that.

anatta is so obviously paid pennies to post it's hilarious. Laser topical focus, laser pointed on a bias.

What a sad life. His master changes the itenerary tomorrow he will spin like a top.
At least it's Trump and the investigation for now. Tomorrow he could be posting about Hilary and Libya
again for 6 years.

For example, his 2013 contacts with Russian intelligence operatives who promised him business connections led to the FBI obtaining a FISA order against him in 2014. Likewise, Page touted himself as having had the “privilege to serve as an informal advisor to the staff of the Kremlin” in a letter to a book publisher in 2013. Below find a timeline describing key events in Page’s contacts with the Russian government before, during, and after the Trump campaign.

I don’t really want them to share a cell.

Comey said that parts of it were unverified.

Which parts are verified and why is Schiff so squirrelly about it being the main instrument used to get the FISA warrant?

You and I do not know which parts are verified, and IF Schiff Is squirrley it is because the Republicans have vilified the public image of the Steel report.

You have to verify it to prove it can't be verified?

Shut up retard.
