Two really good things have happened in the Middle East since Trump was elected and he deserves at least some credit for both. The first one is halting the CIA’s role in Syria where we arming the anti-Assad rebels/jihadists. Trump put a stop to that insanity which freed up the Syrian army to focus on ISIS with the help of Russian forces. We should just accept Assad since the only way to get rid of him is with ground forces—-and screw that.
The second is the hope of real reform in the Saudi Kingdom. That the Saudi leader would credit the Trump administrations leadership is pretty significant and rates a headline, to put it mildly.
Thingy’s ‘one guy’ objection is pretty absurd. I’ve told him before he should go to work in the media. He’d fit right in.
