i gotta work.
But briefly '08 was a reaction to the Iraq war, and the recession.
I supported Hillary first ( live and learn -eh?) but went for Obama over McCain.
It wasn't even a difficult choice.

I'm no great fan of Obama back then, but the last thing I wanted was a Republican warmonger

I was no big McCain fan but I had some reservations about Obama—-and they turned out to be largely accurate. I was too disaffected to even vote for Mittens.

3rd party was th best choce, but 3rd party isn't really choosing for POTUS..

It was EZ for me on both Mccain and Hilary -a couple of "no go" votes for me
