I'm using the exact bigoted reasoning you are. Why since the Civil War and particularly since WWII Hillbillies have continuously immigrated to Ohio in substantial numbers. With them they bring their vices, increase our crime rate, burden or Civil and Social services with large numbers of them being dependent on the welfare state and they commit a disproportionate number of the violent crime in our State and I know from my own personal experience that our women are not safe around them. They also refuse to assimilate and except our values. That being the case and with you making the same case for Muslims in Europe so using your logic, let me repeat for emphasis, your logic, then why shouldn't we have all Hillbillies forcably removed from our State?

I didn't vote for Trump and I don't support the alt right and white nationalism. On a personal level I've volunteered for years with lower income minority students, teaching and coaching. But at the end of the day we are not individuals we are all on a 'side' or a 'team' I guess and as such she thinks I'm a racist.

It's the exact result of politics. The Bay Area, LA, Portland, Seattle are great places to live if you are well educated and/or work in tech. For blue collar (lower) middle class people not so much. There is an astronomical cost of living which is caused by progressive zoning and land use laws. So black folks have left for many of the growing Southern cities where the cost of living is much cheaper and there is more opportunity.

I have to agree with you here. Now I don't know enough about Antifa to either support or criticize them but there is no room for violence and rioting. Not in public discourse or assembly.

Now don't get me wrong the White Nationalist, NeoNazis, KKK and ilk that showed up at Charlottesville obviously spoiling for a fight get little sympathy from me for getting their asses kicked and the record shows Antifa's presence was a small one and a minority of th anti protesters who engaged the other knuckle heads at Charlottesville.

Now if Antifa is engaged in violence elsewhere I condemn that.

Having said that now that Antifa has become the new boogeymen of the far right KKKonservatives that make them shit and piss themselves in fear I like to remind those same far right KKKonservatives that my Grandfather (who served under Patton) and my Great Uncle (who was a liberator pilot and was nearly executed for attempting to escape a pow camp) were also anti fascist and they were called the greatest generation...but I can be an asshole like that. ;)

Now having said that in no way am I stereotyping all Republicans or conservatives as far right KKK racist. Obviously the large majority of them are not. Nor do I have tolerance for any political extremist of any stripe who resort to violence to advance their cause. Fuck them. Throw them all and Watermark in prison and let the rats eat them.

A significant percentage of the GOP coalition are openly racist and far right true believers commit the most politically motivated acts of violence and terrorism in the last 30 + years than any other extremist groups in our nation. Far more than far left extremist have in that time. In fact violent acts by far left extremist in that time period are almost statistically insignificant compared to those committed by the far right. This a problem for the GOP as their silence and tolerance of them in their midst leads to the misperception that all conservatives are either bigoted or extremist. The GOP has no one to blame but themselves for that.

I have no use for violence by anyone. There is no nobility of purpose by any that commit it nomatter what their motivations are.

I was around for the anti-Vietnam war demonstrations- some got violent- but more often then not it was the cops that caused the violence ( see Chicago 1968)
Jerks like the Weathermen, and Black Panthers ( etc.) were on their own.
Most of us distanced ourselves as far as we could from them.
