I don't know your history with her cawacko, so I don't know why she believes you are racists, but on here she only addresses those who are racists as racists. I've never considered you racists, a name dropper, but not a racists ;)

Will it? It failed recently in Venezuela, which is why they turned to socialism. It has or is failing in virtually all of subsaharan Africa. It is currently failing in a large parts of the Middle East. Not to mention that the nation in the last 30 years with by far the largest economic growth has been a Communist nation.

I appreciate your belief in Capitalism but the fact is it does fail, and does so regularly, around the world. It failed in the USA in 1929 and was rescued, by of all things, our government.

I was going to grab a drink with her at one point in time. As you know having differing political beliefs doesn't proclude me from being friends with people (otherwise I'd be very lonely living in SF).

Somehow though things changed and my being a Republican has now made me a racist. Such is life.

Accusations of racism are not as harmful as the N word. Sorry, all other arguments aside about appeasement of people or nonresponsibility for what others say and do, they are not morally equivalent.
This is not a colorblind world, and the baggage exists. When you denigrate the progeny of former slaves who have fought to this day for freedom in a supposedly free country, you are stepping on the sorest of nerves and you should expect the most righteous anger possible in return. You could probably call me things that would require emergency counseling intervention, but calling me a cracker isn't one of them. It ain't the same. Neither am I offended when some right wing nut calls me a racist. Like I care what a racist thinks.
