As you can see, certain states such as Wyoming and Alaska have far more clout than they should. But they still don't have a helluva lot, since they are barren wastelands.
The real culprit here is how 48 states decide their electors. All states are winner take all except Maine and Nebraska. That has the potential to perturb the result away from an equal rights ideal more so than the fact that we toss a couple electors to Alaska despite that nobody wants to be there.
