Why not just let it fail?

A true leader leads his party to pass legislation that is helpful for the nation. Rump has proposed so many different ideas and refused to commit to being involved, he is too busy trying to CYA, a real leader would have shepherded his campaign promise through Congress. Remember when he promised better healthcare for cheaper ON day one, then crowed that it would be SO EASY?

He promised it!

You are aware, aren't you, that legislation starts with Congress, right? How is it the president's responsibility to lead congress on specific bills?

Goldman Sachs estimates that total coverage under the ACA increased by 13 to 14 million last year and may have increased by another 4 million during the first five months of 2015, for a total coverage increase of 17 to 18 million combined. At a top line, this coincides with the figure from RAND, which estimated that there were 22.8 million newly insured people since the launch of the ACA. At the same time, 5.9 million people lost coverage. This comes out to a net gain of 16.9 million lives.

"We have a poll from Gallup, which suggests that the number of uninsured people has fallen from a high of 18 percent in 2013 to 11 percent today, which would give us about 22 million people. The latest data from the Centers for Disease Control suggests that the number of uninsured has declined roughly 22 million since 2013, and 17.8 million since 2010 (darn you, financial crisis!). And today we got data from the Census Bureau, which suggests that the number of uninsured people has fallen from 13.3 percent to 9.1 percent since 2013, or by about 12.8 million. There are other surveys too. But we hardly need more numbers."

IMO, Jarod has a point. The president failed to exert enough pressure on the Senate to get the travesty that is Obamacare repealed and replaced in the timeframe he promised.

But he still has over 7 years.

I guess you didn't read the article.

Alas, we do not have that access right now. And so we are stuck with guesses. Liberals will probably pick a start date, and a methodology, that makes the decline look biggest. Conservatives will probably pick the one that gives the smallest figure.I’m going to do neither. I think the number of would-be-uninsured people now covered by Obamacare is almost certainly north of 10 million. I’m not sure exactly how far north. And I’m not sure we’ll ever have a better estimate than that, either.

Also, I asked you for proof of these statements:

Because more people have insurance, thus more people paying their hospital bill, thus medical care inflation rate dropping.

Can you explain how the excerpt from the article you cited proves that claim?

You guys are pittaful, I give you links to facts and all you can do is flyspeck.

Yes, but 22,000,000 more have it under Obamacare than they would have had. What a silly argument.

If I saw that 20 people were drowning every year at a beach, and I was able to save 10 of them, you would attack me?

Are you really this dim? this has to be an act.

22,000 more people have it under Obamacare? how many of those are paying for it?

it's called research, this will probably take you a month, see you then

You are kind of thin skinned there Jarod. Yes, I would say something about that if the government told me I had to pay to rescue people or face fines. And they failed as usual.
