I'm always up for more info - it helps me understand the big picture by filling in the finer details

I work online in 1/2 hour shifts of my choosing . I sit at my desk - and take breaks -and post here if you must know.
I enjoy politics/current for it's own sake. sure it's contentious but I'm not a baby about it if others disagree.

May you live in interesting times - we are well headed into a new century now -by the time Trump leaves office we're at least 1/5 thru.

I'd like to see American come roaring back to life and lead not just like neocons -but as American Exceptional economics
that we traditionally were. Maybe we will -maybe we won't - but i will support Trump just like I did Obama in his first term
until I see otherwise for the good of the USA.

In the age of Trump, I'm no longer interested in discussing my issues with Obama or the Democratic Party on a site full of right-wingers, and Libya is a subject that I don't want to touch here other than in passing reference. Conversations here aren't about truth or what's best for this nation, they're about partisan politics and that's all I want to talk about here.

The people I spoke to who've recently returned from Libya were part of a contingency of WHO workers and observers. They were escorted everywhere, but have incredible stories of tragedy, hope, and despair.

No, I don't want to see any cooperation with Trump from the Left. Besides, he doesn't need the Left, he has all the levers of power in his hands. But he's an extremely unpopular president pushing an extremely unpopular right-wing agenda.

Not my president .. just some creepy old rich guy occupying the WH whom I want to see fall on his face and fail miserably. Can't wait to write and talk about the complete lack of wisdom demonstrated by the so-called white working class.

Just imagine what you think of Hillary Clinton blown up tenfold.

Bengazi Medical Center is now being bombed/shelled. 2x I know of in the last couple months.
There are all kinds of medical supply shortages -but as you know then the doctors are doing amazing things
despite the ongoing civil war/terrorism.

I imagine the displaced /homeless are the biggest problem -most of the cities have extensive damage

It was in 1986!! I have told you many times that the UN should have put in peace keepers to protect oil refineries, airports, government, buildings and other key installations. That they didn't is to their eternal shame.

NATO didn't cause the present problems, there was a civil war already in progress with every likelihood that Libya would have ended up like Syria.

Oh he has caused plenty of damage.

Obamacare was ill conceived and very poorly planned, (very little chance of success putting the main burden on young males who previously never bought health insurance), and executed even worse.

Many, (including I), knew it was a very likely fail right out of the box.

The cost of that massive fail, (that was shoved down America's throats without one Republican vote), is massive and continuing both in fiscal costs to the US Treasury, and massive premium costs and huge co-pay costs to Americans in the horrible plan, (the healthy now dropping out).

Now that profit subsidies are falling off, insurance companies are pulling out.

Marxists, (an incompetent one at that), should never try to do bidness, they jus' don't have that ability.

He has been an abject fail from 2009 on.

His stimulus was totally wasted, and the States and local gubments he sent band aids to, (the stimulas was not infrastructure that "shovel ready" horse shit was another Obamaprompter lie), the money went to shore up temporarily the fiscal houses or poorly run dim wit Democrat local gubments. All of which are in worse shape now.

He allowed ISIS to establish itself by rolling in miles long columns of Toyotas across the desert, that one Thurderbolt A10, (warthog) could have easily killed. It doesn't get much more incompetent then that.

He gave Iran the green light to build nukes, and a plane load of currency.

The only positive in nearly 8 years was his very tentative decision to kill OBL.

the civil war started up again in Tripoli. There was the kidnapping of the PM/the shelling of Parliament
and the Airport battle that caused the House of Representatives to flee east.

neighborhoods relied on militias for security. Neighborhoods -not just governments. there was a complete breakdown in security.
You would have had to do something like the UN did and send in a government by ship!

How would you deploy peacekeepers into this hot mess? They are supposed to keep warring factions apart
but this was so bad that the locals were fighting among themselves -not just governments

You generally don't come across it in your personal life. Lot's of people have only thought of it in terms of European monarchs and aristocrats. American celebrities have had their share over the years, however. FDR had a mistress, and died in her company. They would have stopped the destruction of Tripoli Airport, the blockading of ports, commandeering and thrashing of government buildings and vital infrastructure. I mean holy fuck, look what happened in the aftermath of the Iraq War ffs. The militias could also have been invited to be trained and become part of a National Army. None of this was done, yet you dismiss it out of hand.
