He may indeed believe we were working together as opposed to POSTING together. 'Working' requires collaboration. When I disagreed with his conclusions, I told him so and would post counter evidence to his claim. Some parts of what I posted he wouldn't touch .. like the Brigade to Rid Libya of Black Skin. I appreciated and applauded his awareness .. at the time. I considered him a non-partisan seeking truth. When it became obvious that was not the case, I stopped posting about Libya on that site beyond an occasional reference. Nobody cared about Libya there .. but there was a wider audience that did.

Message boards don't change anything .. but they make good sounding boards for writers. One reason why I've posted on lots of boards.

Much respect for you brother .. but Marine life is not real life. It's like saying what others say or won't say while at work.

My daughter, whose picture I used to post here as an E-4, is an E-7 today, in fact, she's a drill sergeant. They discourage uncomfortable conversations among soldiers. Especially about race, especially now. She and I just had that conversation two days ago.

I'm not at all suggesting that racism and politics are at the top of every black person's agenda .. but we don't just vote the same.

I didn't vote for Obama .. Obama is a corporatist. I don't vote for corporatists .. unless they're running against Donald Trump or equivalent.

That being said, Obama hasn't caused the damage to this country that you claim. I was against Obamacare because it's a corporatist scheme, dreamt up by the uber-conservative Heritage Foundation. Obama should have removed two words .. 'over 65' from Medicare .. healthcare for all Americans done. However, it was better than anything Americans are going to get from Trump and republicans .. as you'll soon find out.

Republicans opposed everything from Obama .. pissed and moaned the entire time he was in office right up to today. Surely you know that.

Regardless look at Qaddafi's standing when the US/France/NTC thugs assassinated him.

George Bush sent Condi Rice to meet with him - relations were normalized.
Lockerbie reparations - and really the only thing that tied that to Libya was something about timers on the bombs.
Obama met with him at the G-8. he was due a human rights award from the UN.

We threw that all away because Clinton met with the NTC's Jalil in Paris and got promises of a post-Qadaffi democracy.

Weapons to Syria/ISIS in Libya and now metastasizing all over Africa/ the migrant to Europe ( who don't drown first)

where were your friends? did they make it outside of Tripoli- how did they negotiate roadblocks?
were they embeds in any militias - do they know the politics of Libya today? were they on UN business or private contracts?

I work online in 1/2 hour shifts of my choosing . I sit at my desk - and take breaks -and post here if you must know.
I enjoy politics/current for it's own sake. sure it's contentious but I'm not a baby about it if others disagree.

May you live in interesting times - we are well headed into a new century now -by the time Trump leaves office we're at least 1/5 thru.

I'd like to see American come roaring back to life and lead not just like neocons -but as American Exceptional economics
that we traditionally were. Maybe we will -maybe we won't - but i will support Trump just like I did Obama in his first term
until I see otherwise for the good of the USA.

I have no idea WTF you want -it's not a successful America for sure.

There is no camping in this spot, so it keeps it nice. Not supposed to be night time visits, either, but people (me) sneak in.

It is pristine. That pool is my favorite spot on the planet.

There is no camping at the Cascade hot springs either, in fact, there is nothing organized at all last time I was there.

If the State or whoever owns the area had a presence, (which might exist now for all I know), it would prolly be much cleaner.

Hot water out in the woods is very cool no doubt about it.
