Oil takes 10's of millions of years to form naturally.

You should recuse yourself from any conversations about energy.

I've often wondered the same thing. Infinite is too strong a word, but I wouldn't be surprised if oil is more renewable than is currently understood.

This is how I know you don't smoke; you never just put it down. You pass it along or you keep toking but you never just put it down...unless it's a bowl then it'll go out on its own and you just relight it later.
