What's wrong w/ protecting the environment?

might as well use it all up while we develop alternative stuff :)

Shut up idiot.
What are manufacturers going to do after you burn all the oil?
Especially with the population increasing so quickly it is imperative to preserve as much oil as possible. Burning oil should be almost criminal at this point.

Yet you know for certain we are running out. This statement disqualifies everything else you have said on the topic only you are too blind to see.

The price of oil knows we aren't running out.

We have been "running out of oil" since the first well was dug. You and your ilk have been wrong at every turn.

You are arguing that oil is an infinte resource idiot. Nothing is certainly not oil.

#223

Reminds me of the comment the guy leaning out the 10th floor window heard when the guy that jumped out the 110th story window made as he plummeted to his death.
The comment: "No problem so far!"

((((((((((((((()))))))))))))

That we haven't run out of oil yet is no proof that it's an inexhaustible supply.

Liberals pretend they want to protect the environment, then they go and throw all the ballots in the Detroit River so they can't be recounted.......

Holy shit, I already showed you where petroleum can be produced from coal and hydrogen.

Holy shit.
I am talking about fossil oil idiot.
I already showed you that oil can be pressed from plants and algae .

Anyone interested in a treatise for the layman on carbonless fuel might enjoy The Hydrogen Economy: by Jeremy Rifkin.
But as Rifkin points out, for now, that's a medium of energy transfer, not an energy source.

But as Jay Leno says (making reference to the fact that some people kill themselves, deliberately or not, by running their internal combustion engine car in a closed garage)
a person trying to commit suicide by running a hydrogen fueled car in a closed garage is going to have to settle for starving to death.

Don't give me that crap. Is it as efficient as petroleum based energy? Can it be anytime soon? Make your case Viking.

Diesel engines were originally designed to run on plant oil. With only slight modifications any modern diesel will also run fine on any plant oil or the plant oil itself can be modified via srveral means and an unmodified diesel will burn it.
SOTS tech. Nothing new or fancy about it either. Quite rudimentary in fact.
My father ran a multi-fuel diesel engine on wood gas in Norway during WWII in a fishing vessel.
Nowadays that technology is also SOTS
Alternative energy is available in many working forms right now.
Here is a good one for you; Virgin Airlines runs entirely on plant oil.

I agree with you on the diesel engines. The problem you run into with that though is the lack of delivery. Look at what happened with ethanol and the Mexican tortilla market. I'm not being my usual racist self btw, that really happened. My problem has more to do with forcing electric cars and wind power generation on people. They just aren't efficient.

Why do always spout shit and think people won't check it? Virgin do not run their planes entirely on plant oil. The much wanted experiment back in 2008 used standard aviation fuel with the addition of 5% biofuel derived from coconuts. As the company themselves said, even then that represented around a tonne of biofuel and required 150,000 coconuts. It was a PR stunt pure and simple, destined to appeal to the feeble minded. Virgin are now pinning their hopes on producing fuel from the flue gases from steel works, we shall see how that develops.

The replacement cost of the diesel motor in my F250 is probably 10K.

I'm not putting vegetable oil in the fuel tank. I don't care what anyone says lol.

I never said infinite. I said renewable. It is being form d all the time. At what rate? Nobody knows. But we have plenty. Enjoy it. You are putting too much pressure on your already failing ticker
