"the basket of deplorables"

sic means as transcribed from the original content. What was the original text that was transcribed from?
true. I know of no other way to denote except using "quotes".. if it's not working for that reason I won't use it.
Gotta keep the trolls satisfied.

to your point about "everybody hates racism" -obviously not.

CLEAN UP THIS MESS ON AISLE #3 !!

Your pitiful attention span and inability to absorb information, as well as your disrespect for the truth are amazing. The Trumpeteers are mainly uneducated, disenfranchised whites. Mainly males. Why are they disenfranchised or at least think they are? Because the are uneducated. A great deal of the rest are the bigots, racist, misogynists, etc. - also uneducated.

Deny all you like. Clinton nailed it.

nailed your ass to the wall?......she and you are the most ignorant folks around......you actually want to keep doing what you've been doing wrong for eight years......

The vast majority of Americans are better off today than they were 8 years ago. Even more would say that they were better off in the '90's under Clinton than under Bush.

Sorry 'bout that. The truth can be an inconvenient thing.

did I not answer that? I used it to denote "quotes" -because "in quotation" on a message board looks like I was quoting someone else.

It's tedious to type out (in quotation)-so I used (sic) - meaning said in context of my usage...
But no worries.. if it offends because it's incorrect - i'll not use it anymore.

are we done on this minutia then?

It really wasn't all that great when it practiced open and unpunished segregation and discrimination in the South. But I believe that's the time Trump wishes us to return to

Hillary says America has always been great. You say it has never been great based on that. And the North segregated nearly as much just not as openly.

here we go: damage control time - deflection with a meaningless' apology'

Clinton says she regrets labeling ‘half’ of Trump supporters ‘deplorable’

The comments echoed an accusation that Clinton has levied previously — that Trump appeals to and amplifies racist, xenophobic and anti-Semitic viewpoints. But Clinton triggered a fresh controversy by claiming that “half” of Trump’s supporters fit that description.

Romney and Obama both made their remarks at private events, while Clinton knew she was on the record. Clinton’s aides defended her efforts to define a significant chunk of Trump’s supporters as out of step with American values, and the candidate issued a statement Saturday afternoon saying she regretted using the word “half” to describe those supporters.

“That was wrong,” Clinton said. “But let’s be clear,

You need to change the content of my post to make a point, you miserable little shitweasel? The name of the party, asswipe, is the Democratic Party. Not the Democrat Party, as many of you morons incorrectly use. No wonder you're the party of the ignorant.

We have Desh Jr. here

The bar is so low for that. If that's the best supporter of Obama you have then...

Clinton partially walks back ‘deplorables’ comment

Hillary Clinton partially walked back comments she made on Friday night, in which she described half of Donald Trump's supporters as "a basket of deplorables" who were driven by “racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic" sentiments.

“Last night I was ‘grossly generalistic,’ and that's never a good idea. I regret saying ‘half’ -- that was wrong," the Democratic nominee said in a statement.

But she also doubled down on previous comments she has made about the Republican nominee’s campaign apparatus and its embrace of “alt-right” supporters.

“But let's be clear, what's really ‘deplorable’ is that Donald Trump hired a major advocate for the so-called ‘alt-right’ movement to run his campaign and that David Duke and other white supremacists see him as a champion of their values.
It's deplorable that Trump has built his campaign largely on prejudice and paranoia and given a national platform to hateful views and voices, including by retweeting fringe bigots with a few dozen followers and spreading their message to 11 million people,” the statement continued.

I'm determined to bring our country together :palm: and make our economy work for everyone, not just those at the top. Because we really are ‘stronger together.’”

I personally like the "Islamaphobic" label. Much like the "Violent (can't say Islamic) Extremists" meme.
So If you do use "radical Islamic" = Islamicphobic ( the Dem's have a lot of 'phobics!")
