What's funny to me is we bemoan a lack of people voting but then we call voters deplorable, bottom 47%ers, they don't deserve respect etc. No freaking wonder so many people say f it.

Which was a horrible assumption because he was assuming military retirees, retired people etc who happen to be in that 47% are all Democrats. It was stupid on many levels.

The name of the party is the Democratic Party. Try to at least get that right. The label is meaningless. Kinda like the Republican Party is the party of Lincoln. Nothing in today's Republican Party resembles Lincoln's. The Democrats you refer to from those years were social conservatives.

The correct name is the Democrat Party, since there is nothing democratic about the Party's structure. That, plus consistency in language. I'm not a member of the Republicanatic Party; I'm a member of the Republican Party.

Today's GOP is the Party of Lincoln, in spite of your baseless insistence otherwise.

Yes, the Democrat Party used to be used to be socially conservative. However their hatred of blacks was due to their retarded fiscal theories which have remained unchanged: in order for some to be rich, there must be many poor.
