Trouble/Challenges in Milwaukee

and you're a perfect example of a closed minded gullible liberal.....its a matter of perspective.

Explain what this means then: "anti-white black Nazi Kristallnacht against whites that just occurred."

Of course you would never call out anybody who talks like that, would you. </rhetorical>

How about this one bravs? "The MSM didn't even report the officer was black. They want riots. Fucking disgusting pieces of filth."

Have you given much thought as to why eventhough the cop was black there is still trouble??
No, I have a feeling he isn't that deep, that this has nothing to do with race, but everything to do with police shootings and police department policies.

You really do live in a bubble.

I don't think there was a single riot of note since the Rodney King days, until relatively recently. Yes, I lay part of the blame on BLM because they've earned it.

Too bad cops were so trigger-happy. Maybe they shouldn't have let their prejudices skew their perspectives.

Oh how quickly you forget the riots that mostly whites are involved in, a couple years ago when the giants won the world series for instance. Go back further, and see when Guns N Roses front man Axl Rose stopped showing up for concerts as another example.

Those were all the Obama years, right?

I'm only giving my opinion and not trying to get into the minds of the Milwaukee or Oakland people. But let's be honest, we both know that many, many white people fear and detest blacks and don't want to live anywhere near them.

I think it's closer to the truth that people prefer to live among people like themselves. That's true racially, culturally and socioeconomically. I think you're missing Cawako's point that there is a big difference between self segregation and segregation due to illegal means like housing discrimination, racial bias in home loans, red lining, etc.

What did you like about the area? I looked up the demographics of your city and its 83% white and less than 1% black. Based on Christi's sentiment you would be afraid of black peoole for living in such a neighborhood.

And if integrated neighborhoods are so important why is gentrification considered such a bad thing?
Because it forces out people who invested their lives to make those communities congenial places to live. It doesn't happen to just black communities either. I saw it happen in the lake Norman area of Charlotte metro area where high taxes were used to force out the middle class people who developed the area into a nice place to live by wealthy people who wanted a lake shore home once it was developed.

I think you are missing her point, but she can verify that herself. People should be able to live where they can afford to live, it is just unfortunate that the rich don't want to live with the poor and some blacks don't want to live with whites and vice versa, it is my hope, eternal, that this will change, but it appears that It is still a human condition for some.
Id say for most.

Yes...how dare blacks exercise their constitutional rights to collectively advocate their own interests.

You are emphasizing Wackos point though. I have segregated myself from people with these kinds of white trash attitudes.

Why are there largely-black neighborhoods today? There are plenty of largely-white neighborhoods all over and I believe it's because they want to segregate themselves.

blacks who support themselves live where ever they want.......blacks supported by the government have to live close to government support.......

Gentrification? Now I'm not calling you out specifically because I've seen this elsewhere. But it's the kind of language that's loaded. It's really insulting to blacks, that their neighborhood sucks until white people move in and class it up.

Just to be clear gentrification is a loaded word?

Should whites live in largely white communities?

Nobody "should" live where they're not happy but I'm uncomfortable with the idea of segregated communities, even if the people living there don't look at it that way.

So you'd rather the govt force people to live together who don't want to?
