The Trump problem

You can't fault Trump for having the head start. He knows more about what it takes to get the economy going than any Democrat or Republican in the race because he's had to survive in it---not as a career politician but as a business man. I don't worry about a president Trump on the economy---I worry about his mouth getting in the way of him getting there.

I'm one of those people who don't care what he says lol. I find much of it entertaining, in fact. The only thing I care about is what he will do or not do once elected. He's undeniably intelligent and probably the slickest 'non-politician' to come down the pike since Reagan.

If he stays to true to his rhetoric and can manipulate congress like he does the media, he can be a very effective president.

Trump, like his father, has gamed the system for years to keep his real estate enterprise afloat.....the man has declared bankruptcy MORE THAN TWICE in his career. Don't take my word for it, do the research. Trump in charge would be a disaster, worst than those stooges Reagan and GW Bush!

One of my FB friends says something similar. Like how embarrassing it is having Trump lead the republican race.

I was like 'where have you been hiding the last 8 years?' The US hasn't been a bigger laughing stock on the world stage in my lifetime. HRC, a known and proven liar leads the democrat race; a sizeable segment of the electorate would, and I mean this literally, vote for her if dead bodies started turning up around her house. A socialist is in second place on the democrat side and they want to talk about how embarrassing Trump is??

Lol k.

Socialism, or at least the version Bernie Saunders practices, is NOT seen as an embarrassment to anyone else in the world except folks in the USA who have been brainwashed since the Cold War days that socialism is on par with communism (which it is not). I have no love for the duplicity of HRC, and I sure as hell have no tolerance for any of the GOP candidates. So it looks like I'll not be checking off the President box this November.

So clearly the optimal vessel for this strategy would be a New York City billionaire, who throws around Yiddish words like "schmuck" and "schlong," and who collects daily vitriol from the Republican establishment.

Sorry, but you're clueless.

Trump is the product of decades of pearl-clutching politically correct hypocrisy that aborted any meaningful political dialog. Broaching the subject of illegal immigration translated into "hate Mexicans," abortion became "hate women," ad infinitum.

Those premises are ridiculous and normal Americans have been waiting for someone to smash them.

He's added new perspectives to American politics that no one has been addressing, like: Who are these people negotiating these lousy international deals?

I find it amazing that a billionaire can articulate the blue collar position so well: "I don't need government working for me. I just need it to not work against me."

Meanwhile, we live in a dangerous world. Our enemies are not going to be impressed by leaders who run across the schoolyard to the teacher saying "Miss Media, Donald just called me names."

Or a woman who can't pee if there's another woman in the restroom.

Or a doddering geriatric socialist who writes rape fantasies.

The American people have sat back and allowed the grand political establishment to guide their choices for decades, and they see the devastating results. The game is over now. The more organized attacks that come Trump's way will simply translate into stronger support.

And as a New Yorker myself, I'm entirely amused that a presidential candidate is using Yiddish and it gets no discussion as a cultural phenomenon. Nothing could possibly make a national candidate seem more "New York City" than Yiddish, which is normally a no-no. Trump is truly untouchable.

Once again, you spin tails based on biased opinion, tired political talking points, supposition and conjecture. This moronic ploy by the right wing punditry to blame any and all faults of the current GOP candidates blathering on liberals (or the ghost of "political correctness).

Trump is what he is, a class oriented bigot and high finance hustler who's declared bankruptcy a few times, has a history of union busting, and is no stranger to inflammatory rhetoric over the years. The only people he is convincing are the fringe hate mongers and duplicitous neocon/teabagger/fibber-tarian people who just can't bring themselves to acknowledge that they supported the very people that are screwing them into the ground.

Now that he is culling the very mindset that the GOP has been giving a wink & nod to over the last 30 years is an embarrassment ONLY because it's out in the open. And try as they might, the MSM isn't going to shove this clown into the White House, let alone the GOP nominee.

The above posts sufficiently wrap up another dimwitted Trump bashing thread. NEXT.

Maybe leftists will finally fulfill their promise during the second Bush election and actually leave the country for France or some other Socialist utopia in Europe after a Trump victory?

that YOU cannot mount any type of logical or fact based response to disprove the OP, it appears the only dimwit here is YOU!

this statement right here is one of the biggest reasons why people in the middle are supporting trump. they are tired of being called racists by idiot liberals who have nothing other than ad homs.

You don't even know what the Southern Strategy was, my willfully ignorant fibbertarian/oather/threeper friend. Worse, you try to convince yourself it had no significance in the American political forum, then or now. Pathetic on your part, but not surprising.

Taichi, why do you think Sanders is making a play for that sort of voter?

TRUMP'S support is across ALL demographics, including, for a Republican, very high unprecedented support among Democrats, Blacks, Jews, Women, Youth, and Hispanics. He will rule this country with with an iron hand, backed by an across the board consensus opposing ALL Establishments in this nation. All Establishment Special Interests are bloated blood sucking parasites that need to be totally crushed under the national will and purpose, and Trump will lead us to do exactly that. NO entity will be allowed to function contrary to the National Interest, as determined by the whole people of the nation. Big companies and Churches, and every single entity will have to watch their back if they dare to try to screw this nation and its people. Jail will be full of them. Google FounderChurch Portal for the details of the intellectual rationale for the Trump Revolution.

'Zieg Heil, baby! :palm:

He explains it in the article.

Trump does not have the support of the evangelicals. He has a "special place" where he keeps bibles, it's very nice. Trump's support comes from the middle. These people are angry and want an outsider, but they don't want an evangelical or an ideologue. Instead they are supporting a progressive populist.

That being said. Most people who didn't want to vote for McCain or Dole will feel less reticence if Trump is the nominee. So while most do not want the guy, he's better than McCain...

Note that I said "evolved". Take that into comprehension of the OP. These are the same idiots who keep voting against their same interest since Reagan...they'll never admit it's the very people they support who are screwing them into the ground.

Socialism is an embarrassment no matter where you are. Europeans embrace it in many places, but they were an embarrassment long before that ever happened.

If you say so....those blue collar guys were also part of the evangelical fringe element that supported Reagan via their preachers urgings.
opinion and conjecture, speculation, and supposition........

What bullshit.....the only preachers telling their flock how to vote are the black churches.....any other church would lose their tax free status.....

and 'blue collar' guys have always been associated with the Democrats...you know, the party of the 'little guys' nonsense.....

More bullshit....the biggest spinner of them all....

Poor TCLibby...

Once again, you spin *tales* based on biases. One can not deny the topic of illegal immigration had been (prior to Trump) inexorably linked to bias against Mexicans. Broaching the subject of illegal immigration drew an instantaneous knee-jerk reaction from the left.

To thinking people (i.e., non liberals), they see the left exhibiting a bias against all *legal* immigrants, whose visas are delayed from places like Asia (India, Philippines, China), the Caribbean, Africa, and most of all Europe.

Based on the left's ideology, I would say they hate Asians in particular.

Trump is what he is, a class oriented bigot

A multi-billionaire class oriented bigot who appeals to blue collar, lower middle class, and middle class voters?

I suppose it's possible. After all, the Dems constantly ran Robert Byrd, a Klansman who appealed to blacks.

And try as they might, the MSM isn't going to shove this clown into the White House, let alone the GOP nominee.

You think the mainstream media is pushing for Trump? Oooofah. :palm:

You think the mainstream media is pushing for Trump? Oooofah. :palm:

They are in the sense that all press is good press. If the *sigh* mainstream media wanted to get rid of a candidate they'd go full blackout on him/her. The DNC is trying to do that with Bernie.

Never fear, boy.....you're the winner of the dimwit contest.

See folks, when properly challenged, Nova just devolves to schoolyard banter ONLY. It's all he has....so much more to pity. I'll respond to him again when he can discuss the topic logically and factually without using his opinion, supposition and conjecture as fact.
