This. Whether it has to do with politics or sports or anything really (young) people seem to love the ability to anonymously troll online. Many of us "know" each other here and look at the trolling that goes on. Completely random articles is just an open invitation. I'm not saying to just ignore all the comments but I wouldn't put full stock into them either that this represents all of America.

Has The Obama made things better or worse with regards to race relations?
 
I think that Obama has made things worse, actually. Racists were becomoing fairly calm in their supposed superior position. Now that a neeeeegro is in the white house in some capacity other than butler, they are INFURIATED.

DY, I am not addressing this to you but your comment gives me the opportunity to say what I've been thinking about since seeing the clip on the news yesterday about the hateful things that were said about that talented young boy who sang the National Anthem before the Spurs game the other night. It is very sad that in a nation that can elect a president of color the amount of racism there is that exists. I will say that things are better than they were when I was growing up but they are far from ideal. And I don't expect a Utopia when it comes to race either, but I do expect a sight more than what I've been reading lately. I probably have more to say but must get back to playing Monopoly with my boy.
 
Do you think it might be another reason, like, say, The Obama's racism exposed by his "stupidly" moment? Or his "if I had a son he would look like" moment? Or maybe that the race card is played so quickly, now, whenever differing political opinions are argued?
 
Or maybe The Obama Administration refusing to prosecute NBP voter intimidation? Or maybe the blind loyalty of so many blacks toward this guy.

That's what I've done. :)

What really appals me is that if my wife and I had children these bigots would apply these awful stereotypes towards our children even though none of them would even be remotely close to being true.
