I was reading an article in Yahoo last night about how white Americans now have minority status in the under 5 age group. Their was nothing controversial, in my opinion, about the article but what grossed me out was the yahoo comments section. It was one racist comment after the other and they all had hundreds of thumbs up hits. Most of the comments we're viral stereotypes about minorities. I was pretty shocked. I wish I could find the link. I should have posted on it last night when I read it.
 
racism is based in low self esteem.


There are many who teach their kids to hate other so they can feel good about themselves.

out of all the people who traverse Yahoo and it only had hundreds of thumbs up........I would think that would signify progress.....fifty years ago would anyone have even thought to give it a thumbs down, let alone dared to do so?.......
 
Katrina was my bright point of light on how racist this country still is.


I am still blown away by all the hate I heard spewed on people who were disastor survivers simpley becuase they were peopel of color.


It really made me want to puke.
 
Like most people, Americans are a mix of good and bad, and this - like the cowardly and contemptible gun-culture - is part of the bad. The desperate necessity is to cleanse the American mind of this poisonous and nonsensical term 'race'. What on earth could such drivel possibly mean? There is one human race, all of whose fertile members can interbreed.

The yahoo comment sections are a cesspool. The real bottom dwellers. DY and ILA would fit in perfect there, and it's a shame they ever found this place.
