I agree, and generally I laugh when anyone calls a party dead... but these Republicans are pushing the boundries here, they are not acting rationally. They may not chance the name, but the Republicans as they have existed for the last 40 years appear to be finished.

First of all, I'm not a republican. I believe I have pointed this out numerous times, but you continue to make that conclusion. There is no such thing as "current conservative ideas" they are the same ideas conservatives have always had. You continue to confuse current Republican ideas with conservative ideas, which we've not seen since Reagan. Yes, taxes are lower than when Reagan was president, but not lower than before Reagan was president. He cut the top marginal rates dramatically, and it produced enormous economic prosperity. Reagan wanted to eliminate capital gains taxes and drastically reduce corporate tax, but he never got that. He also wanted a line item veto, and never got that.

If your Messiah had been able to cut taxes to the level GWB did, we would have had as bad a recession back then as we had four years ago..!

No they are not, this is a gimmick. They propose reducing the amount of built-in yearly increases for certain programs, but at the same time, they propose massive spending on completely new programs. It's all slight of hand, a shell game, a con. They've convinced your stupid ass, but that's not hard to do, you'll believe whatever they tell you. Obama's budget deficit for this year was $1.6 trillion, and it will be higher next year and the year after that, and they seem to be getting away with this by just not passing ANY budget. Our current liabilities now exceed our GDP, but that's all stuff that is beyond your realm of comprehension, you don't even know what "GDP" means! All you know is, "rich people" have more than you do, and you believe you have some justification to confiscate their wealth and redistribute it like a little Marxist dictator.

Reagan would have never cut taxes like Bush did. Reagan wasn't a "compassionate conservative." Again, Bush and Reagan are as different as Boehner and Obama. You want to lump them together because they both had an (R) beside their name, and you are too stupid to educate yourself on the differences. Bush wasn't a true conservative, in fact, Clinton's policies were actually more in-line with conservatives than Bush. Not because Clinton was a conservative, but because Clinton was a populist who 'triangulated' conservative ideas.

Let us hope that "these republicans" are dead! The ones who want to capitulate to Marxist Obama and abandon conservative principles, need to be gone from our midst. The elite establishment country club fat cat republicans like Karl Rove, need to pack their bags and go home, we don't need them. We need a strong conservative who can passionately deliver the conservative message, to step up and take charge of the republican party.

No one that I know of who voted for a republican, expects them to concede a damn thing to Obama the Marxist. We didn't vote for compromise and capitulation. Obama doesn't have a mandate to unconstitutionally steal my wealth.

You're wrong, on all counts. The Democrats are offering spending cuts, to their most prized programs.

And you're wrong about people who voted for GOP Congressmen & Senators. They expect them to work together with Democrats on crisis situations, to come up with equitable solutions to the problems that face all of us as a nation. As for stealing weath, just watch what happens to wealth when the market tanks because the GOP refused to negotiate.

And watch who voters hold accountable for that. It won't be the side that was willing to meet halfway.
