You can worry about your own country, but I maintain that my country should learn from success stories wherever they originate in the world

At this time, the consensus medical opinion in this country is that mandated social distancing and shelter in place is the best option for reducing the infection rate. Even Trump's own chief medical expert agrees with that consensus.

We might have had more options if Trump had not spent critical months denying and downplaying the risk -- if we had aggressively and preemptively prepared and planned for a pandemic of this nature

As for the actual content of your post, I expect that when they loosen their lockdown, they'll have new cases again.
