To remind people of who started this mess. It seems apropos while the Chinese state tries to shift the blame onto the US. Various propagandists there have attempted to convince their public (and the public of some other countries) that the virus came from the US military.

Then it would be called the Chinese Government virus or the Chinese Communist flu.
 
To be honest, I don't care if people call it the Chinese Flu. I've called it worse out of jest like "Chink virus".

I just find it silly for our President to call it the Chinese virus.
