Democracies are flawed, which is why the Founders established our government as it did with lots of safeguards. Unfortunately, Americans have grown soft and lazy while elected leadership are destroying the country. This is where I again about "will" of the People.

Good point, elections make people feel like they have more power, than they actually probably do.
If it wasn't a Democracy voting rights, we'd probably be in the streets fighting.
Although, that could be good, or really bad.
Probably really bad, because Russia & China would probably provoke that as a pretext to invade.
Trump is not printing money, the Federal government is... not everything is all about Trump.
Nothing is forever so saying that Democracies cant live forever is saying nothing. There is however a known birth-death cycle when it comes to societies....Paglia talks about this.....the fat/soft/lazy/dishonest dynamic is part of the death. Jordan Peterson talks about how the West has lost the power of rejuvenation, though he does not understand the how and why....this is right. At this point the West is so dead that there is realistically no hope that it will be saved from the current crisis, though I dont believe in giving up.
