How should we punish China?

Me describing your dumbass fuckup is not my fuckup, Dorky.

What you wrote : "Explain the logic behind the concept of one paying back money one loaned someone else..."

Getting past the redundancy and poor syntax, you probably meant to say 'explain the logic of not paying someone back..."

Some are suggesting that we don't pay back the money that they loaned us. I say that is a good start...

That could have devastating effects. If the U.S. arbitrarily decides to default on it's bonds to China for political reasons, who might be next? What happens to the bond market when people are forced to realize the government can arbitrarily choose to default on a bond?

As far as 'punishing' China, they are already being punished...by their own virus.

Economic activity around the world has slowed substantially, and with it, trade with China.

They can't export the stuff they used to. Worse, their government is trying to build it's way out of it's current financial mess. Chinese who can figure out a way to do it are moving their wealth out of the nation as fast as they can. They see the writing on the wall.

China is punishing herself.

we have influence. it can and should be done. you need to fix your negative fascist attitude.

Apparently you don't know what 'fascism' means. Using it as an insult with me is ridiculous. The last thing I am is socialist.

We don't have much influence. The WTO is governed by a ruling body in Geneva. Nations, including the United States and China, join as members according to the purposes and requirements laid out by that committee.

All good questions.

China is making the most of the coronavirus to dislodge the US as the world’s main superpower
https://www.yahoo.com/news/china-making-most-coronavirus-dislodge-050938273.html

Since the coronavirus pandemic swept the world, China has been aggressively pushing its foreign policy agenda.

The moves China has made include strengthening its claim of sovereignty over islands in the South China Sea, cracking down on protesters in Hong Kong, and intimidating Taiwan with military procedures.

China is also using its wealth to push its agenda. It pledged funding to the World Health Organization after the US announced it was freezing funding, and it is providing relief on loans to African countries struggling with the downturn, while national assets are expected to be put up as collateral.

One of the reasons for this is that China wants to dislodge the US from its position as a superpower while strengthening its own global position.

fascism is a union of government and corporate power.
