A day ago the USA flipped to 600 deaths per million.

The UK was at 613.

Now the USA is at 604, and the UK is still at 613.

With Trump running around personally sponsoring super-spreader events, it appears likely the USA will soon surpass the UK in deaths per million citizens.

Here, in the Pacific Northwest, we are experiencing the worst air quality in the world due to wildfires. We are all encouraged to stay inside as much as possible, with windows closed. Without the virus, we need masks. Yet, I still see people jogging without them.

The coronavirus numbers are low enough in my county that restaurants and other businesses are reopening. Hopefully, things will continue to improve. I don't know of a single public school that has reopened.

Nothing public here fully opened...partial very soon for some. Private schools fully open....Slowly, but very surely, everyone's moving on here... Be careful out there..take care..hope you're continuing to improve;)

You know the whole idea about that is reallocation.

Oakland did a good job with that. Other cities are taking a look at what Oakland did. It's social work. You figure out who is at most risk of being involved in shootings and you reach out to them, help them resolve issues. More police is what you do if you don't have the proper social effort to stop the violence. More police is the last resort. 'Defund the Police' is really not named very well.
