You guys have a very sensible governor that can look at every aspect of this thing and the results tell the tale.
Yep.
he shutdown the bars again because the kids would fraternize closer then 6 feet. I still have to order take out Chinese.

Other then that we mask up, and get the $300 Trump allocated by XO (after DeSantis kicked the state money in)
and look for tourist jobs to open again

Hello Darth,

Lockdown-open-spike-lockdown-open-spike-lockdown-open-spike.

After about the third lockdown there will no economy left to debate about.

How utterly ridiculous.

That is a complete exaggeration and distortion of reality to make it sound worse than it really is.

Really, it is quite bad enough without such doom and gloom.

Wall Street doesn't seem to think the economy has been 'locked down.'

Talk about blowing things completely out of proportion.

Nailed it!

We never had a 'lockdown.'

When was anybody prevented from even going out?

Italy had a lockdown. People were arrested for going out. We never had a curfew-like 'lockdown.'

It's just not possible to deal with reality if people are going to exaggerate at will.

We curtailed some of our economic activity where it caused the greatest potential for virus transimission.

There has been plenty of economic activity the whole time.

Just ask Jeff Bezos.

I don’t think masks do much but if that’s what it takes lol.

Bars, yeah. I think one good idea that would help bar owners is to loosen public restrictions on open air drinking. Especially in a place like FL. It’s not the people congregating per se, it’s the fact they get elbow to elbow in a closed environment.

Bingo lol.

Whatever you want to call whatever it is we did, it helped out Bezos, Walmart, Lowes and Big Retail while it wiped out much of their smaller competitors.

Funny, how that worked.

Lots of people alive though- and the ' economy ' isn't worth having in environmental terms. Time for change. A new economy is required.

Getting drunks and bar flies to behave responsibly is the big challenge there. How can people possible talk and socialize in a loud bar and also remain 6' apart?

Every home in America should get a box of free at-home instant test kits from the government.

That would be a game-changer.

Hello Darth,

Let them go outside lol.

Why do we persist in making this so difficult on ourselves?

Being outside is going to help, no doubt. But they are still going to want to have loud music. That forces them to have to get very close to talk, which they are also going to want to do.

One thing that would help would be lots of giant fans to keep the air moving.

Why does every solution have to consist of free crap from the government lol?

Let’s try testing asymptomatic kids less and just keep and eye on hospital beds. Let’s dare to be different. Why do we care if 30,000 college kids test positive if none of them end up in the hospital?

I seriously think keeping kids quarantined is a bad idea. cant play football with masks etc.
They are herd immunity - crass as it sounds

Hello Darth,

Why does every solution have to consist of free crap from the government lol?

Easy question! (I am ignoring the obvious exaggeration about 'every' solution which is of course incorrect...)

It is because greedy capitalists have produced a society where so many have so little that they live paycheck to paycheck (if they even get paychecks at all.)

Besides.

This is for the public benefit. It is in the better interest of he nation to have a healthy populace so that people can safely go to work and produce goods and services that power our economy.

Let’s try testing asymptomatic kids less and just keep and eye on hospital beds. Let’s dare to be different. Why do we care if 30,000 college kids test positive if none of them end up in the hospital?

It is true that only a small percentage of the young and healthy are at risk. The problem is they do not live in a bubble. They interact with people who ARE at risk. Therein lies the problem.

Forcing young healthy people to quarantine is both grotesque and obnoxious.

Not to mention bad for their mental health.
