Poli-Talker may need to see a shrink, today.

He/she/it cheered the economic loss by millions of Americans and their families caused by the virus from China that China failed to contain.

Unemployment rate drops to 13.3% in May, signaling return of US jobs.

Can't wait to see if the rioters and protesters pump up the death toll in the next week or so after an incubation period.

From what I read, we're already starting to see some big spikes in various areas.

Those would be cases that have already been incubated for more than a week. And, if they're seeing it THIS soon, that would mean
it's the extremely early stages where the recovery probabilities are at their highest with such immediate treatment.

The number of Active Cases of COIVD-19 jumped yesterday.

Obviously we are not out of the woods by any means.

The peak of 1,176,025 which was reached on May 30th still stands.

Active Cases increased by 14,046 yesterday.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely.

This graph shows the peak, and it also shows that we have not dropped that much since our peak.

(The 14K increase from yesterday has not been plotted on this graph)

We had a peak at slightly over one million one hundred thousand Active Cases, but we have not dropped much since. It is like we sort of plateaued at that point. We had some nice drops, but we have also seen some gains. The figure has risen for the last two days. We increased by an additional nine thousand Active Cases yesterday. Still well over a million Active Cases:

Date ... Active Cases ... Daily Rise

5-26 ... 1,144,734 ... 2,983

5-27 ... 1,153,566 ... 8,832

5-28 ... 1,166,406 ... 12,840

5-29 ... 1,169,419 ... 3,013

5-30 ... 1,176,025 ... 6,606 (peak noted here)

5-31 ... 1,131,108 ... -44,917 (down)

6-1 .... 1,136,982 ... 5,874 (up)

6-2 .... 1,127,172 ... -9,810 (down)

6-3 .... 1,103,971 ... -23,201 (down)

6-4 .... 1,101,626 ... -2,345 (down)

6-5 .... 1,115,672 ... 14,046 (up)

6-6 .... 1,124,753 ... 9,081 (up)

The latest increases are too soon to be from protests.

They could be the result of opening up too soon, and/or unpatriotic people just blowing off the CDC guidelines from preventing the spread of COVID-19.

And of course that ever present lack of adequate testing results.

OK, we had a peak on May 30th, but the problem is that we have not seen much of a decline since then. It was a little 'peak,' followed by a 'shelf.'

It is unclear at this point whether the number of Active Cases is going to go up or down. Recent events, protests, police actions, opening up businesses too soon, and people simply blowing off the CDC guidelines are all contributing factors in the data we are seeing.

Here is a graph of the Active Cases:

We still had almost 19,000 New Cases yesterday, and nearly 17,000 remain in critical condition or in serious condition.

It is very encouraging that we only had 373 Americans die yesterday of COVID-19.

Another milestone was passed: we surpassed 2 million Total Cases.

The national statistics were huge when NYC and Washington were hot spots. They made the overall stats terrible. They have finally gotten control lowering the national stats. But Corona is growing bigly in many states now. It is not over and hot weather did not kill it. Florida and Texas are hot, hot spots.
