Overall National Active Cases rose again yesterday. California had the most New Cases, followed by Texas, Florida, Illinois, New York, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Arizona and Louisiana. (These are overall numbers, not per-capita. Keep in mind the relative populations of those States.)

There was a slight national peak on May 30th, but it hasn't really dropped that much since.

We have a very small peak, followed by an extended shelf. Hopefully it starts to drop down again, but we don't know, Opening too soon and mass protests could cause a continued rise. We have currently seen 5 days of slow rise.

Active Cases rose by 2,581 yesterday.

About half a dozen states including Texas and Arizona are grappling with a rising number of coronavirus patients filling hospital beds, fanning concerns that the reopening of the US economy may lead to a second wave of infections.

"Total coronavirus deaths in the US were close to 114,000 on Friday, according to a Johns Hopkins University tally - by far the most in the world.

That figure could exceed 200,000 at some point in September, Ashish Jha, the head of Harvard's Global Health Institute, told CNN.

Jha said the US was the only major country to reopen without getting its case growth to a controlled level - defined as a rate of people testing positive for the coronavirus remaining at 5 percent or lower for at least 14 days. Nationally, that figure has been between 4 percent and 7 percent in recent weeks, according to a Reuters analysis.

Health officials have stressed that wearing masks in public and keeping physically apart can greatly reduce transmissions, but many states have not required masks."

Wearing a mask is the most patriotic thing real Americans can do to show how much they care about the USA.

There is no logic which refutes this.

If we get a second wave it is not because of the people who are doing everything they can to prevent transmission.
 
It's almost as if people don't actually care if they contract Covid 19. They should be shown videos of people last moments so that they know what a fucking horrible way to die it is.
 
The number of Active Cases in the USA rose by 14,804 yesterday to 1,157,581.

It is already up again by around 10K today to 1,167,307.

If it keeps going like this we will soon surpass the slight peak of 1,176,025 set on May 30th.

Sure, the hordes of protestors and looters, rioters and those burning businesses, police cars and police stations are spreading the virus from China that China failed to contain, Snowflake.
 
The source of the virus from China is China. They lied about the source and their number of fatalities. They would not share data with our health professionals that might have mitigated their virus from China. They nailed shut the doors of those with the virus from China They did not stop flights out of China and the virus from China spread around the world.

China must be held accountable for the hundreds of thousands of deaths and the economic loss around the world.

Count on the far left loon apologists to defend China and falsely blame it on our great president whose closure of flights from China saved countless lives.

The president is following the advice of the health professionals and the states are opening their economies following the guidelines.

Trump was warned in December. We had no cases in Jan but knew it was coming. Trump clicked his red slippers together and said we will not get it. Then he played golf and held rallies. The person responsible is Trump. We have more than 1/3rd the cases and deaths on the planet. That is due to Trump doing nothing for so long.

You are right. They think it's an "old people's disease and they were going to die anyways pretty soon." "It's no worse than the flu." "It's hype."

Even if you manage to live the effects on the body are horrendous -- blood clots that cause permanent lung and other organ damage, loss of kidney function leading to dialysis, heart damage, brain damage, liver damage.

But yeah -- let's go to the bar! Let's get our nails done! Let's hang out at the beach! Let's go to a Trump rally!
