As part of that process, the Justice Department gave Flynn’s attorneys a series of emails and notes, including one handwritten note from a senior FBI official that mapped out internal deliberations about the purpose of the Flynn interview: “What’s our goal? Truth/admission or to get him to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired?” the official wrote.

Other documents show that the FBI had been prepared weeks before its interview of Flynn to drop its investigation into whether he was acting at the direction of Russia.

*Strzok objected and sent himself in to try and trip up Flynn
*Strzok's initial notes found no evidence of Flynn lying
*Strzok re-wrote the 302 about 6 months late with Pages help

Hillary was not convicted, same as Flynn. You seem to think it's the "wronged party" case of all time that he went through what he did. Hillary lost an election because the FBI broke protocol to make that late-in-the-campaign announcement, which didn't pan out into anything.

Hillary deserved to lose. She ignored very important states, and took voters for granted.

But it's pure fact that given the closeness of the election, she wins w/out Comey breaking protocol like that. That was a very key event in that race. To not acknowledge that is purely partisan.

And for a long time, the right's standard was "doing gov't business on personal email." For many, that was HUGE. I'd bet there are some of the same people who don't even realize that anyone in the Trump admin did the same, and how many in the Trump admin did the same.

Otherwise, we agree. Rabid, baseless persecution on both sides has gotten out of hand.

That is intent to violate the Espionage Act "gross mishandling" statue.

Former White House national security adviser Mike Flynn and his son are alleged to have been offered as much as $15 million to forcibly remove from the US a Muslim cleric wanted by Turkey, The Wall Street Journal reports.

The Journal reported the FBI questioned at least four people in regards to a December 2016 meeting in New York at the "21" Club. The discussions allegedly included how to transport Fethullah Gulen, a Muslim leader who Erdogan has accused of being behind a failed military coup, on a private jet to the Turkish prison island of Imrali.

Former CIA Director James Woolsey told CNN in March about an earlier meeting in September 2016 where Flynn also met with representatives of the Turkish government and discussed potential ways to send a foe of Turkey's president back to that country.

Your whole response is an exercise in double-standards. But I can't let "new low" slide.

There was nothing lower than the birther conspiracy and accusations, which Trump led. Appealing to racism on a national scale is close to as bad as it gets.

I understand, Flynn pleaded guilty twice because he was innocent.
The truth is he plead down to this and his other crimes were not charged. He failed to register as a foreign agent. This is an ex-US general not a flunky. He was involved in a plot to kidnap a Turkish citizen who was living in America,for a long time. Gulen was the Flynn target. The Turkish government wanted to execute him.
Flynn was and is dirty. He was talking to Kislyak and lied about it. Barr just waved it all away. Barr is the worst fucking jerk in the AG office of all time.
