Make sure to bookmark this thread, so when they change colors and start trashing religion again, they can be thwacked over the head with their own words! Since only two of us said anything about our beliefs, you must not see many confessions of faith.

And the characterization of "confessions of faith" is wildly idiotic; most clearly do not hesitate to tell pollsters that they do in fact believe in god.

For someone to get a degree in the field of science, they have to know a little bit about science. Granted, psychology doesn't use the beakers and Bunsen burners, but the University of Alabama still requires a fairly solid core of science courses before they give you a science-related degree.

If you want to find an example of science ignorance, look no further than Apple and his explanation of how an organism can be living and human, but it's not a 'living human organism' because it may die! Get him to explain that one to ya sometime! I'm not the smartest scientist in the world, but I am definitely on the upper end of the scale here. I don't break out my prayer rug and pray to Darwin each day, like you do, but still...

Anyone can CLAIM they believe in God! Anyone can CLAIM they have religious convictions! It's not that hard to lie about it, because people can't see inside your heart and know the truth. But I can see inside your hearts, I do know where your religious convictions end and your liberal worship begins. I am not a religious person, I have no specific religious view, I am a Spiritualist. That's the reason I can see inside your hearts... If I were a Christian, it would be against my religious beliefs to make such a judgment, but the fact that I am not, allows me the flexibility to call you out on your hypocrisy. I know the stuff I listed doesn't contradict your Church of Liberal Science views, that was the reason I made this thread, to point that out! I don't think I would willingly sacrifice my eternal soul for the sake of making some point to a liberal on a message board, but if that's what you want to believe, I can't do anything about STUPID.

I do have immense respect for Judeo-Christian beliefs, as well as the spirituality of all people, except liberal theocracy. As I said, I do have a great deal of respect for Christian beliefs, and I do defend those beliefs at times, but that doesn't make me a Christian.

I don't have a narrow specific view of God, I personally believe God is "non-denominational" and the standards for ethics and decency are universal. I think you are a fraud when you start claiming your God condones abortion on demand and gay marriage, because these are unethical hedonistic behaviors, detrimental to society and your fellow man, and not in harmony with anything spiritual or natural. You've been indoctrinated into the Church of Liberal Science, so you can formulate arguments based around your 'religious' views, and the typical Christian can't really challenge your hypocrisy, because that is how Christians are taught to behave. I don't have those constraints, so I can expose your fraud without fear of my own salvation being in jeopardy.

As a "spiritualist," your responses are even more hypocritical, because you are billing yourself as someone who is open to beliefs outside of orthodox Christianity, and you are not.

Everything you describe above is your own personal judgment, that has been formed through the prism of orthodox Christianity. It's ridiculous to say those kinds of things on one hand, and then try to assert that you are open-minded and tolerant on the other. You are not.

For example, the god I believe in created homosexuals, and has no judgment on them. You can't comprehend that, because your own beliefs - which are thoroughly ingrained - are that god deems this a "sin," and has judgment on it. You are unable to step outside of that, and consider that there are beliefs that run counter to that.

It's very sad, in a way, but that might be just me, because intolerant bigots have always made me sad....
