Since this is a political site, I rarely find a need to discuss my religious beliefs. But I have mentioned them a few times.

Had he said that he would have had a point. I disagree that atheists view science as a deity, except when using the loosest interpretation of the word "deity".

That's a pretty boneheaded reply. In the OP, Dixie clearly implied that being liberal = being an atheist, which couldn't be more of a lie. You went on to add that, because we were pointing this out, it shows the "underlying truth" of the OP.

Do you realize how stupid that sounds?

Look at the lengths Dixie will go to avoid admitting error. It really was not all that central to the point. The thing to do would be to admit that you were a little sloppy in phrasing and get back to your point, which seems to be the tired argument that science is religion. Now you are off on some rant that voting Republican is a condition for salvation. I am sure Christ agrees.

Wether you believe in God or not is totally irrelevent to this discussion. The only thing relevent to this discussion is just how utterly clueless some people are about science. I mean all of Dixies comments about "Liberal Science" had to come out of "100 ways to roast a Jew".

This is a rant by a wacko who is running scared from the rest of the world who is just completely and utterly ignorant of what science is and is just using propaganda to disguise his fear of those who do understand it as being "athiest" and "liberals' or what ever pejorative da joure he can come up with.

I know, you can tell it really struck a nerve with them. I've not seen this many confessions of faith in years... since the last Baptist tent revival I attended! Make sure to bookmark this thread, so when they change colors and start trashing religion again, they can be thwacked over the head with their own words! Being the two-faced little hypocritical twits they are, it won't be long, I'm sure.

Keep in mind that PiMP is as clueless about science as Dixie is. He doesn't even underand the most basic tenets of the philosophy. So since, like Dixie, he's scared of the people who have knowledge of science that he's got to make a devile out of them (liberal athiest).

Let me ask a rhetorical question. Of what business is it to Dixie or PiMP what any scientist religeous beliefs (or lack there of) are?

No worries here. My faith is not dependent on waving it around. Nor is it influenced by negative members of my religion.

By proxy Dixie is also implying that to be a scientist is to be a liberal and, ergo, an atheist.

You didn't strike a nerve. You made a post about liberals being atheists and then have tried to backpedal and dance around when the error of your post was pointed out to you.

PiMP makes the same illogical arguments too, though he tends more towards the concise circular argument then Dixie's epic rants. Personally I prefer Dixie's rants. They are vastly more entertaining. :)

Again, this is what you wrote:

The fact is, poll after poll show that the vast majority of not just Americans but liberals as well believe in god. Ergo, your premise here is a total fabrication - a lie of the highest order, even in Dixieland.

And the characterization of "confessions of faith" is wildly idiotic; most clearly do not hesitate to tell pollsters that they do in fact believe in god.

Why not just admit you were wrong? The only thing this post has done is show - once again - what a myopic bigot you are, as you have basically stated multiple times that you have no tolerance for anyone whose religion or faith is different from your own.
