It is important for us to remember, liberals do not view science in the same way as others. Because of their Atheistic beliefs, science has become their surrogate for spiritual belief. We know from archeological evidence, humans have always had a profound connection with spiritual belief, it is part of our natural human condition, and every human is born with this inclination. Atheists prefer to live in denial of this fact, and insist they don't believe in anything. But they often find salvation believing in science, regardless of how little science actually provides in the way of spirituality.
This is a summary of how it works. When scientific evidence and theory happens to support something a liberal is in favor of, it is presented as empirical fact that can't be challenged. Any challenge to the "fact" is met with condescending and arrogant name-calling, because it challenges their personal faith. You can argue that science is never empirical, and never "proves" or "disproves" things, and at best, can only provide theories and ideas, but they will vehemently continue to call you names and ridicule what you say, because it doesn't comport with their religious beliefs based on science.
On the other hand, if science directly contradicts something a liberal believes in, they will immediately point out that science is inconclusive and doesn't "prove" things. So, they have established science as a "catch all" for liberal ideology... If it can support a liberal view, it's empirical and can't be challenged or questioned, if it contradicts a liberal view, it can't be proven and hasn't been established as fact.
The most clear recent example of both sides, is the current Global Warming scam. When the "science" seemed to support their idea of global warming, they were constantly using things (like Katrina) to make their case, and insisting science completely supported their liberal viewpoint, and couldn't be questioned. Once the scam was uncovered and we came to realize the data was manipulated and fraud was perpetrated, and the "science" no longer supported their agenda, the whole argument changed! Now, science is not conclusive, we can't rely on this scientific data, it's merely a representation, nothing to hang our hats on at all! People are laughed at for pointing out blizzards and snow storms, record low temperatures, as indicators global warming doesn't exist. When they are busy making fun of "knuckledraggers" who mock their stupidity over single climatic events, they have conveniently forgotten how much emphasis they placed on global warming during Katrina. We can literally see them going from a "Science is Everything" to "Science means Nothing" position, within a matter of a couple of years.
I don't really have a problem with Liberal Atheists practicing religious faith in something, but we have allowed these people to infiltrate our public education system, and they are proselytizing to our children, indoctrinating them into their Church of Liberal Science. We need to separate Church from State, when it comes to these fanatics.
