Trump missed a golden opportunity to lead the nation early on in a serious pandemic response.
Instead, he trashed a limited chance to get out in front of it early.
Dr Fauci advised him to take it seriously, but Trump blew it off and as usual only thought of himself and his public image.
Ironically, if he had treated the threat with the seriousness it required early on, he would have been seen as having done a good job and it would have led to a better public image. And hunderds of thousands of Americans would not have had to die needlessly. Many of them, his own followers. His efforts to mold his public image resulted in a poorer public image for most. But he played up to his foolish base, who simply want to resist anything that government does. Too bad many of them died for it. Pointless foolish deaths.
3000 deaths per million Americans.
That's easy math.
1 out of every 333 Americans has died of Corona.
